The Beauty

Ps. 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? 4 The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life…”

The grave is empty. Jesus is risen and alive! The beauty of the entire Christian experience is that our God is alive and well. The beauty of The Cross is that we were enemies of God but we have now been brought close to God and we can have fellowship with God. Jesus is alive! The resurrection story is exciting for us believers because the story did not end at The Cross. Infact, The Cross is just the beginning of the story.

But while we will continue to marvel at The Cross and relish the beauty of The Cross, we are not to stay at The Cross. We are to move forward because beyond The Cross lies the beauty of resurrection. It is important to experience the power of The Cross but it is more important to move on to resurrection. There can be no resurrection without The Cross but the purpose of The Cross is not in The Cross. Paul says in Phil.3:10 [NKJV] that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death”.

It is important to note that you cannot experience resurrection without experiencing The Cross. Every crown has a cross. For Jesus to be crowned the King of kings and the Lord of lords, He needed to go to The Cross. Every glory has a story. Everyone that would be great would have to go through the ‘Friday’ [the crucifixion]. Everyone that will experience resurrection would have to experience the denial, the betrayal, the slaps, being spat-on, and the rejection. One of the beauties of The Cross is that satan did not see it coming. All he saw was ‘Friday’ [the crucifixion].

You will go through ‘Friday’ situations but be encouraged because Sunday is coming. Some people have actually moved from ‘Friday’ to ‘Saturday’ where everything is gloomy, dark and lonely. But I am here to tell you that Sunday is here. The resurrection of Jesus is significant because every day after His resurrection is resurrection day. So, rejoice!

Prayer [song]: God sent His son, they called Him Jesus, He came to love, heal and forgive. He lived and died to buy my pardon. An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives. Because He lives I can face tomorrow, Because He lives All fear is gone… Amen!
