Limits Off!
Philippians.4:19 (ERV) “My God will use his glorious riches to give you everything you need. He will do this through Christ Jesus.”
“…O what peace we often forfeit. O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!” Ask God and do not doubt. Jesus says to us in Jn.14:13 “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” [with emphasis]. That is just like a blank cheque. When you see your spouse as your source, you have greatly limited yourself. It is because a human being can only give you what they have, and to the extent to which they can be benevolent. Even the kings of old at the height of pleasure could only reward people up to half of their kingdom.
Mark 6:22 “Then his daughter, also named Herodias, came in and performed a dance that greatly pleased Herod and his guests. “Ask me for anything you like,” the king said to the girl, “and I will give it to you.” 23 He even vowed, “I will give you whatever you ask, up to half my kingdom!” Esther had a similar experience, the king said to her at least three times, ask for anything, I will give it to you even if it is up to half of my kingdom [Esther 5:3, 6 & 7:2]. As powerful as those kings were, they were limited. As wealthy as whoever you are looking up to is, they are limited. But when God tells us to ask, He does not place a limit on us. Ps.2:8 “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” [NKJV].
Earth is in the solar system and the solar system is part of the galaxy, right? The earth is one of the smallest planets in that galaxy, right. Let’s say there are about eight billion people on earth, right? Do you know that if God were to give every human being one galaxy each there would still be excess left over? Sometimes we put limits on God. God does not create waste because God says He knows every star in the galaxy by name – everyone! So, when God says ask, the limit is never on God, the limit is usually on us. Gen.13:14 “After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. 15 I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.” [with emphasis]. For Abraham, the caveat was as far as you can see; I pray that you will not place a limit on your destiny based on the economic indicators. Did the Bible says, God shall supply all your needs according to the federal government’s budget? No, it is according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
Prayer: Father, I tear down every limit that I have allowed to take root in my mind, my vision, and in my knowledge of You and I ask for my inheritance in God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
