Help Is Here

Luke 4:¹⁸ “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, ¹⁹ and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”

Over the next few days, my assignment is to speak forth things that will be rooted and established in your life. I have clear instructions to speak about specific Marah situations. Pay close attention.The first is the Marah of no helper and today it will be turned in to sweetened waters in Jesus Mighty Name. 2Kings 14:²⁶ “For the Lord saw the bitter suffering of everyone in Israel, and that there was no one in Israel, slave or free, to help them.” [with emphasis]. When you do not have help, things are going to be tough. But you will get help in Jesus Name. You are where you are today because somebody helped you. You could not have gotten to where you are today if nobody helped you. I am where I am today because somebody helped me. I have been sent to help you.

From a spiritual stand point, I am here today because somebody helped me. My late spiritual father helped me; he activated what God had deposited in me. There are many people roaming around, full of potential but with no help. There are many people that are struggling today because they have not received the help they required. Most times, all you need is help and your help is here in Jesus Mighty Name. The best helps are not necessarily tangible. In fact, when my late pastor told me to go and start a church, he said, I would not be giving you any money and he did not. Imagine that, I thought he was wicked. But he was giving me what money could not buy. He was teaching me that if you have The Blessing and you do not have physical cash, The Blessing will produce wealth. But if you have money and you do not have The Blessing, the money will cause trouble and it will diminish.

Many of us have been asking God for help and God is saying, “You will receive help”. The way help works is, it is favour, it is undeserved, and that is why it is help. If it is something you can pay back, then it is a transaction and not help. The nature of true help is, it is favour and mostly undeserved. However, most times our focus is often on ourselves, but God wants us to change that today. You have been asking God, “Where are my helpers?” and God is asking, “Whose helper are you?”. You have been asking God, “Where are the helpers of my destiny?” but God says, “Whose destiny have you helped?” When you help other people’s destinies, God sends you helpers. Guess what? God also has a need; position yourself to be “God’s helper”. When you help others, God will help you.

Prayer: Lord, anoint me afresh and empower me to bring Good News to the poor, set captives free, open blind eyes, be a destiny helper, and a God helper, in Jesus Name. Amen!
