Implications, I
Psalm 44:3 “They did not win the land with their swords. It wasn’t their strength that won them victory. It was Your strength—Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your presence that gave them success, for You loved them.” (Voice)
The first implication of light is Vision. The second implication of light is Evangelism, and this is huge. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 & 6 “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them… For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (KJV). Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (KJV). For your light to shine you need to tell people about Jesus, evangelize.
People, ministry friends, people I am mentoring in ministry, ask me what the key to the supernatural is? Some desire to walk in the supernatural effortlessly. Guess what? One of the greatest ways of walking in the supernatural is evangelism. Evangelize and the power of heaven and earth will back you up. Once you begin to operate in the power of the supernatural, the truth is, you learn to apply it in other areas of your life. One of the fastest ways that I know is to talk about Jesus, lift up the Name of Jesus, talk to people about God, and you will see the power of God working in your life like never before. Why? It is because the light needs to shine through you so it must shine in you before it shines through you.
The third Implication of light is Rapid Progress. Light is synonymous with speed. By nature, the speed of light I mean over three hundred million miles per second – unbelievably fast! How fast can you run in a dark room? You cannot because you will spend most of your time feeling your way around, right? But when you can see clearly, you can run fast. This year, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, your progress will be rapid. It also means you are going to have repeated victories. Your victories are going to be so amazing, and you need to understand that it is because of light. Psalm 44:3 “For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.” (KJV). God will help you and God will favour you.
When God smiles upon you, the blinding light of His countenance takes care of your enemies and propels you forward. I like to hang around people that smile and I move away from people who are grumpy and frowning. Why? A person’s smile radiates the light inside. People that cannot smile do not have light or are preventing their light from shining. Are you going to shine your shine or are you going to keep frowning? When God wants to show His light, He smiles.
Prayer: Father, because of Your light, this year I have vision, I will talk about Jesus, and I will make rapid progress, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
