In Faith

1 John 5:^4-5 “You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” (TPT)

So, when choosing or joining a team, look out for and Choose People Who Want To Love And Serve God. Secondly, Choose People Committed To Growing In Character. Thirdly, Choose People Who Do What Is Right Even When It Is Hard. Fourthly, Choose People Who Handle Criticism By Focusing On God. The fifth thing is, Choose People Who Take Bold Risks In Faith. Acts 15:^25-26 “So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul—men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (NIV). The time for half-hearted commitment is over. This is a new decade; it is either you are going to give Jesus all or nothing. So, is it going to be all or is it going to be nothing?

You have to take that bold step for God. It could be as basic (not trivial) as talking to your neighbour about Jesus. Are you going to preserve yourself or are you going to talk to your friend about Jesus? Acts 13:³⁶ “For David, after he had served God’s will and purpose and counsel in his own generation, fell asleep [in death] and was buried among his forefathers, and he did see corruption and undergo putrefaction and dissolution [of the grave].” (AMPC, emphasis added). I pray that it would be said of us that we served God’s purpose in our generation then we exited. So, I am praying that until you serve God’s purpose in your generation you will not die. Big!

1 John 5:^4-5 “EVERY CHILD of God can defeat the world, and our FAITH is what gives us this victory. No one can defeat the world without having faith in Jesus as the Son of God.” (CEV, emphasis added). God’s Word says that no one can defeat the world without having faith in Jesus as the Son of God. We need to take bold steps for God in community. You need to take bold steps to take the territories that God has put in your heart to take. Light has come, the opportunities are ahead of you, straight ahead of you. You need the right values. You need the right guide, the person of the Holy Spirit. And you definitely need the right team and to get the right team, you need to set your heart on God and be the right person for the right team.

Is Jesus the Lord of my life? Have you given your life to Jesus? Were you born again, lost your way and need to reconnect to Jesus today? To overcome the world, to have the victory God speaks of in His Word start with choosing to put your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
