LIGHT

John 8:¹² “Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

This is the Decade of Light, and the concept of light pervades the scriptures. If you check, from the very first chapter in the Bible to the very last chapter of the Bible, you will see God using light, talking about light, and exclaiming light. Genesis 1:^2-3 “The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” (emphasis added). In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God is speaking light into your life and situation now and there will be light in the Mighty Name of Jesus. That is the very first chapter in the Bible. In the very last chapter of the Bible, Revelation 22:^4-5 “They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.” (NIV, emphasis added).

In the Name of Jesus, the Lord God will give you light. Light is clearly huge in scripture. And to be separated from God and trying to do your own thing is to actually be separated from light and to be in spiritual darkness. So, you need to ensure that you are knitted and connected with God, particularly this decade and for the rest of your life. This decade kicked off with a lot of darkness in many regards. For a lot of people, there were challenges financially, relationally, and in their health. In the world, a lot of people died because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet God declares it a decade of light, and for you, this decade will be a decade of light in the Mighty Name of Jesus. And it is because light shines brightest when it is darkest. I am confident in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that your light will shine brighter and brighter.

John 1:^1-5 “Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is Himself God. He created everything… Eternal life is in Him, and this life gives LIGHT to all mankind. His life is the light that shines through the darkness—and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (LB, emphasis added). In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth because Christ is your light, that light that is Christ will shine through you and darkness will not be able to overcome it. Regardless of the darkness you can see in your health, finances, relationships, and marriage, it will not overcome the light of God in you. And if Jesus is not your light, I pray that He becomes your light today, that you will open the door to His light in your life.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are my light, therefore, Your light will shine through me and extinguish everything that represents darkness in my sphere of influence, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
