Miracles & Mercy
Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” (NKJV, emphasis added)
This season, God says expect new chapters of Provision. Expect new chapters of Promotion and Protection. Expect new chapters of Miracles. You will experience new chapters of supernatural events, miracles, signs, and wonders in the Name of Jesus. I don’t think that, and from scriptures we can see that God doesn’t support it, that miracles should be one-off things. I believe that every child of God should experience miracles and should work miracles consistently. So, in your life, miracles will be commonplace in the Name of Jesus.
Expect new chapters of Mercy. In John 8:1-11 (please read), there is a story of a woman who was caught in adultery. They caught this woman in adultery, but she was the only one who was caught. Something is wrong with that picture. Jesus could see the hypocrisy of the people. The people brought the woman to Jesus, saying, “This is what the law says, what do you say?” They had stones in their hands. The law says she should be stoned, but the stones in their hands were actually for Jesus. And it is because they knew that Jesus would not condemn the woman. Listen, the enemy knows that God will not condemn you. That is why he is doing everything to keep you away from God, because he knows that God is rich in mercy.
Jonah knew that God would forgive Nineveh, so what did Jonah do? He refused to go to Nineveh to preach; instead, he faced Tarshish. Why? Jonah knew that God would forgive them and not let the people of Nineveh suffer. Do you know that there are people who wish that you would suffer? But they will all be disappointed because there is mercy with God. Have you also noticed that God still blesses the people you are upset with? God does not need your permission. So, if the woman caught in adultery received mercy, you will receive mercy in the Name of Jesus. By the time Jesus was done with them, they dropped their stones one after the other and left.
John 8:10-11 “Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I…”. God is not accusing you. God is not condemning you. God wants you to come for mercy. At least, unlike this woman, you were not caught, so why are you running? Hebrews 4:16 “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
Prayer: Father, I come boldly before You to obtain mercy, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
