In Season

Deuteronomy 28:¹² “The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.” (KJV)

Joel 2:^23-25 “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” (KJV, emphasis added). In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, your floors will be full of wheat, and your vats will overflow with new wine and oil. God is going to restore to you this season in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

The land represents many things. The land could be your business, work, career and whatever you lay your hands upon. The land could also be your mind, education, vision and so on. Whether you want to approach it as the mathematician, the linguist, or the spiritual person, however you want to approach it, just roll up your sleeves and start working your land. Roll up your sleeves and start putting in the work. The significance of the rain is that the blessings, the life of God, the growth of God, the renewal, provision, and the abundance of God are going to come upon your land in the Name of Jesus.

When God wants to help a man, He sends rain. That is why you hear prayers like, God will bless the works of your hands. However, there must be something you are bringing before Him. Everything you bring and have brought before Him this season and beyond, His blessings will consistently rest upon them in the Name of Jesus. I was discussing with someone about the challenge with believers of our generation. They just want a breakthrough, a miracle. It is almost as though God is a magician. That person gave a testimony; therefore, I receive the breakthrough. Most times, people don’t really understand how God orchestrates abundance.

Abundance is an orchestration. The S.L.S. of Abundance breaks it down for us. The first “S” is for Systems. The “L” is for Land, and the second “S” is Seed. Job 36:^26-28 “Look, God is greater than we can understand. His years cannot be counted. He draws up the water vapor and then distils it into rain. The rain pours down from the clouds, and everyone benefits.” (KJV). The rain shows us that God is a God of systems. Manna is a miracle, but the rain is a system.

Prayer (hymn):  Lord, I hear of showers of blessing, Thou art scattering full and free. Showers the thirsty land refreshing; let Your showers fall on me. Even me, even me, let Your showers fall on me. Amen!
