Hungry?

‘Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness’. 1Peter 2:2-3 [NLT]

The key to a deeper relationship with God, better understanding of the Word, accelerated spiritual growth, a full experience of salvation and eternal glory is Hunger. Hunger is a very strong emotion capable of disconnecting the mind from everything and refocusing it on what the body interprets to be food at that time. A hunger for God keeps you in constant awareness of your need to seek Him. When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, they were in a sense asking Jesus to teach them what to hunger for. Jesus in His reply cited hunger ‘give us each day the food we need’ Luke11:3[NLT]. Paul advised ‘Cry out for this nourishment’ daily. Don’t be content to go a day without the Word. Hunger for God in your worship; desire to be consistently filled with the life of Christ. Spiritual growth is fueled by hunger. Hunger breeds desire, focus, consistence, and commitment. How far you go with God is deeply hinged on your hunger. Just like Jesus at the feeding of the 5000, remember to give thanks for the food you receive and sharing multiplies your supply. Just like every other need with God, you can ask for hunger and He will fill you with Holy hunger.

Prophecy: May God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ fill you with Holy Hunger daily, in Jesus Name. Amen
