Fourth Watch

Matthew 14:25 “Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.” (NKJV, emphasis added)

Jesus obviously had an evening strategy. You need an evening strategy so that by the fourth watch, you will be walking on water. By the time the day breaks, half of the day is practically gone already. So, you need an evening strategy so that by the fourth watch, you will be walking on water and the storms of life will be under your feet. What is so important about the fourth watch? It is the breaking of the day. It is the toughest part of the day, if you will. It is the time when the sweetest part of sleep happens. It is the time of intense spiritual activity. It was in the fourth watch that Jesus walked on water. It was in the fourth watch that Jacob prevailed with God. In the Name of Jesus, you will prevail with God.

Genesis 32:24&26This left Jacob all alone in the camp, and a man came and wrestled with him until the dawn began to break… Then the man said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking!” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” Until the dawn began to break in this scripture is the 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. window—the fourth watch. It was the fourth watch that Moses led the Israelites across the Red Sea. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, because you will have an evening strategy, you will walk on water, the storms will be under your feet, you will prevail with God, and you will cross over your Red Sea in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Exodus 14:24-25Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the Lord looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians. And He [b]took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.” (NKJV, emphasis added). God will trouble the armies of every Egyptian in your life, and your enemies will proclaim, “Let us run from him or her because the Lord is fighting for him or her”, in the Name of Jesus. It is a new day. For you to maximize your new day, you must start at the first watch so that by the time you get to the fourth watch, you are walking on water, the storms are beneath four feet, you have prevailed with God, walked out of Egypt and prevailed over every kind of Red Sea situation in your life in the Name of Jesus.

Prayer: Father, help me deploy and maximize the evening strategy in every area of my life, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
