Wake Up!

“One time during the mating season, I had a dream and saw that the male goats mating with the females were streaked, speckled, and spotted’ Gen.31:10

A dream is a mental picture of what could be. For some it could be the possibility of a happy, harmonious, and joy filled marriage. That is a dream, something that could be. For some it could be the possibility of being wealthy and not having to beg. For some others, it could be more specific, the possibility of charging mobile phones without cables connected to anything – wireless charging. Dreams could be a still picture or a motion picture. Dreams could be a still picture without sound or a still picture with sound. Dreams could be a motion picture without sound or a motion picture with sound. Does it mean your idea of making it possible for every working wife to still have hot fresh food on the table by the time her husband comes back from work is a dream? Yes! Does it also mean your desire to make everyone in this community literate is a dream? Yes! Could my desire that every pregnant woman would not abort at least for preventable reasons be a dream? Yes! These are just examples. Sadly, some have had dreams and have let them die because of opposition. Some of us have let the dreams die because we have waited too long. You shared your dream with people that should have your back but they turned their backs and so you let the dream down [let the dream go]. You were mocked and people said to you, ‘behold the dreamer’. Some of us cannot take the mockery; and because people abused you, you let the dream die. Or you have allowed the crabs to claw you. Do you know what the crab mentality is? When they put crabs in a basket, they don’t bother covering it and no crab will escape. You know why, when one crab attempts to crawl out, the others will say, ‘You have a vision of a better life?’ They will pull that crab down. This happens repeatedly and no crab bothers to try after a while. You have to leave the crab basket. Wake up and dare to dream again. The Lord is set to teach you what it is to engineer your dreams and not just wait passively, hoping that it will come to pass. You are going to learn what to do to take your dream from A-Z and everything in between, by the grace of God.

Prayer: Father, let every crab that has clawed me loose its claws. And let every barrier that experience has created in my mind be broken, in Jesus Name.
