The Power I

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 [emphasis added]

Christians are so powerful, not in ourselves but in the Spirit that lives in us. “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death” Phil.3:10. Paul wrote the Book of Romans and Paul said that Spirit [the Resurrection Power] lives in you. This same Paul is saying, that I may know him and the power of his resurrection. This suggests that it is something you can grow and mature into. It is something that you can acquire as it were. While it is in you, it has to be deployed.

Imagine a power cable that is covered with rubber on the outside. No matter how potent the power is, because the cable is insulated, I can play with it and the power would deliver nothing. Right? But can I try to hold it when the same cable is naked? I cannot, except I want to do the electric slide. For many of us, The Power is locked up and insulated inside of us. We have to desire for it to be unleashed. That same power that raised up Jesus lives in you. If you are going to meditate throughout this week, just meditate on this; that same power that raised up Jesus lives in you. It is not half of the power. It is not a little bit of the power. It is not some of the power but that same power lives in you.

The first thing I experience is that The Resurrection Power gives me power to live. If that same Spirit lives in me, that same Spirit will empower me to live. And in living, I am going to encounter all sorts of opposition; but Jesus says, I give you power to tread upon serpent and tread upon scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. That is power to live. It is the power to go to the village and not be afraid of witches. Some of you cannot relate to the village thing. That is ok but for some people their village is filled with all sorts of people who do not want to progress and do not want any other person to progress either. But God is saying I give you power…

You should not be afraid because greater is He that is in you. The indwelling Power is potent in itself. Yes those people are possessed but you are possessed too by a Higher Spirit. So why should you run from lesser spirits? I hope it makes sense.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please unleash The Power that God has deposited in me and let every insulator be permanently removed, in Jesus Name.
