Thanksgiving
It is a goodthing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name,O most High. Psalm 92:1
Thanksgiving is very crucial for every Christian. In God’s Favourite House we are very big on thanksgiving and dedicate the 1st Sunday in every month to thanking God. Pleasurable thanksgiving is gratitude offered to God in the face of a long awaited breakthrough. This kind of thanksgiving seems effortless but some people still miss it. Not genuinely saying thank you when God does something for you is missing it. Some people even go ahead to credit their breakthrough to some spiritual exercise they did. To the intensity of their praying and fasting. They take the glory for God’s work. Some others are in the middle of people giving thanks but refuse to join in because they do not want their appearance to be altered. A typical example of the rewards of thanksgiving is the story of the ten lepers, ten were healed but only one came back to give thanks. Learn from God’s response to him so that you also will be made whole. Some others understanding the power behind giving thanks even go ahead to thank God in the midst of their trials and God breaks through for them. Do you owe God thanks giving? Don’t let another second pass you by. Follow David’s example and give God thanks and praise today.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I choose to be grateful at all times and in every situation. I choose to thank You for all You have done, what You are doing and for what You will yet do in my life. Thank You Lord. In Jesus name. Amen!
