Unique

Phillip.1:6 (MSG) “There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.”

God works in us, with us, and for us. Not without us and not against us. Most times, when something uncomfortable happens, we blame people, we blame the devil. But we do not consider that God may want to use that experience to change us or grow us. When you cooperate with God, Read the rest of this entry

Clay o, Clay!

Zep. 3:16-17 “…Cheer up, Zion! Don’t be afraid! For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

We took a break from dealing with the final ‘D’ that attempts to steal our cheer, to receive what God was delivering to us at Christmas, in the final days of 2020 and into the new year. How do I cheer up when change seems distant? Let us start with a quick recap. The first truth is, to cheer up when my change seems distant, I need to Embrace The Big Picture. All Sufficient

Philip.2:9 “Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,  in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord…”

Every knee bows to Jesus! Your God is stronger than their god. There is no reason to be afraid. Say to yourself, ‘calm down, there is no reason to be afraid.’ The second reason why you should not be afraid or worry is, God is with us. Our God is not only stronger, But He is also with us. Your King

Isa.7:8-9 “for Syria is no stronger than its capital, Damascus, and Damascus is no stronger than its king, Rezin…Israel is no stronger than its capital, Samaria, and Samaria is no stronger than its king, Pekah son of Remaliah.”

No city, no nation is stronger than its stronghold. The capital is the stronghold. The strong hold is the strongest part of the nation. God is saying, Syria is no stronger than Damascus and guess what. No stronghold is stronger than the leader, than their king. Read the rest of this entry

Needless Worrying

Isa.40:28 “Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. 29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.”

Anyone that will look Jehovah, the Creator of the heaven and the earth in the face and say, I want to raise my throne like your own is a bastard. Jehovah is your Father and He is the source of all spirits, the God of all flesh. Read the rest of this entry

Voice of Truth

Ps.11:1 “I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me, “Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!

Isa.7:9 (CEV)…And if Ahaz and his officials don’t trust me, they will be defeated.” When God stands before you and says to you (like He is saying to you today), ‘you do not need to be afraid.’ If you do not stand in that Word, if you do not stand in that faith. God is saying that defeat is sure because there is no other option. Read the rest of this entry

Stand Firm

Ps.46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honoured by every nation. I will be honoured throughout the world.”

When we choose to obey God and refuse to worry, we are putting our confidence in God. As a child of God, when you put your confidence in Him, it makes Him feel good. It makes Him want to perform. When God says do not worry, He is saying you need to deal with the fear inside first. Read the rest of this entry

In Him

Ex.14:15-16 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground.

Isa.7:2&4The news had come to the royal court of Judah: “Syria is allied with Israel against us!” So the hearts of the king and his people trembled with fear… Tell him to stop worrying…” God told Ahaz to stay calm before telling him how He was going to solve the problem. With Him

Isa.7:10-12 “Later, the Lord sent this message to King Ahaz: “Ask the Lord your God for a sign of confirmation, Ahaz. Make it as difficult as you want—as high as heaven or as deep as the place of the dead.” But the king refused. “No,” he said, “I will not test the Lord like that.”

In yesterday’s devotional, we established the fact that while Ahaz response to God on the surface sounded deeply spiritual. It sounds spiritual but it had no spiritual weight. It sounded pious but was arrant nonsense, crap. When God says, “give me a sign”, Read the rest of this entry

Just Do it!

Isa.7:3 “Then the Lord said to Isaiah, “Take your son Shear-jashub and go out to meet King Ahaz…” (emphasis added).

Everyone that walks with God understands this. Everyone that has a tangible relationship with God understands that every time God asks you to do something that is huge for you, you are about to God see action! You are about to see God do something huge for you. Read the rest of this entry
