Intimacy With God

‘O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land where there is no water.’ Ps.63:1

Jesse was well to do; in fact he was a Sanhedrin [the highest political magistracy of the country]. Jesse was not a farmer. So the sheep and goats that David was sent out to care for were not his primary source of income. David was sent out to the wilderness to die [just like he sent Uriah to die in battle]. Perhaps not literally like that but they just wanted David out of the house. Yet David triumphed. You will triumph in the name of Jesus. David did not allow the Read the rest of this entry

Only Jesus

‘Crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” Luke17:13

Now it is important to pay detailed attention to the prayer of these lepers. They said Jesus, Master help us – have mercy upon us. They worshipped as it were. They recognized the person of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven given unto man by which he can be saved. The Word of God says that ‘when you come to the Father, everything you ask in His name, He will hear you’. Jesus is the way, He the truth, and He is the life. These ten lepers were clear about that, they acknowledged it, and they Read the rest of this entry

God Wants You!

‘And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?’ Matt.16:26.

You are going to be wealthy in Jesus Name. I am saying this to you authoritatively by the grace of God. Everyone in God’s Favourite House will prosper, it will be impossible for you to remain in God’s Favourite House and be impoverished. But if you insist otherwise, we will kick you out. Money is not the problem. God is more concerned about getting money through you than getting money to you. God is more concerned about the victories He attains in you than the victories He attains for you. In the Read the rest of this entry

Not Without Faithfulness

these peeled branches in the watering troughs… when they mated in front of the white-streaked branches, they gave birth to young that were streaked, speckled, and spotted’ Gen.30:37-39

Never make how an obstacle. The fact that you don’t know how doesn’t mean it is the end of the road. Don’t make how an obstacle for your vision. The fact that you don’t know how God is going to do it doesn’t mean it is the end of the road for you. While God’s how can be independent of our planning, God’s how cannot be independent of our faithfulness. What does this mean? It goes back to doing the right thing for long enough. More visions are aborted because of unfaithfulness than lack of Read the rest of this entry

My Story

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you’ Gen.12:1

My spiritual father, late Pastor Eskor, asked us to start a church barely a year after I had left paid employment and we obeyed. Through out the period we served in that church, we were happy not to collect any salary. I had a business and I felt my money should be used for the Kingdom and not the other way round. Then one day God asked me to leave my business and focus on His work. And I brought my needs before God – my family, bills, Read the rest of this entry

Heaven’s Timetable

‘For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven… Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time…’ Ecc.3:1 & 11.

Once you have qualified the dream and authenticated the vision, I have just one advice for you; give your life to it. For some of us the truth is that the vision that God is going to give us is going to be embedded in the vision of another person. Some people cannot stand that and that is a problem. Pharaoh understood that the vision for his country’s prosperity was embedded in Joseph’s vision but Joseph’s brothers didn’t understand that. Read the rest of this entry

Moral Imperative I

‘For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!’ 1Cor.9:16 [NKJV]

Yesterday, we began to talk about the question of burden as it relates to qualifying a dream or an idea. Let me just reiterate this point; do not go into what you don’t have a burden for. The fact that there is insecurity in the nation does not bother some people at all. So it cannot be the vision God has given them. If you find yourself as the chief security officer of a nation and it does not bother you that people are dying, you shouldn’t have that Read the rest of this entry

Major Shift

And they replied, “We both had dreams last night, but no one can tell us what they mean.” “Interpreting dreams is God’s business,” Joseph replied. “Go ahead and tell me your dreams.” Gen.40:8

In God’s Favourite House, our vision is to be filled with the life of Christ Jesus, and released into our destinies, taking the world for Him. The fulfillment of our destiny is when you are released into your destiny. When you are propagating your dream and you make your own dream priority, you will land yourself in prison. Even your brothers will hate you. When you make it about other people’s dreams and you use your own dream to serve Read the rest of this entry

Timing

‘For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven’ Ecc.3:1.

I learnt a three-pronged strategy for resting from Rick Warren and I will share it with you again today. I have used it for years and it is so effective. You deflect daily, you withdraw weekly, and you abandon annually. Deflecting daily simply means every day there are things I do that are just mundane. It could be a wrestling match with my wife; we are not fighting but just tumbling around. Or ‘I touch you last’ [Tag you’re it] game; do Read the rest of this entry

God Sized

I will climb up to my watchtower
and stand at my guard post. There I will wait to see what the Lord says
and how he will answer my complaintHab. 2:1.

Firstly, to receive a dream, go to the balcony. When we were growing up, the balcony was where my father would lounge and read his newspaper in the cool of the evening breeze. To you and I, the balcony is a picture of relaxation; a place where you are relaxed and in tune with God. It is a place where you go to get an idea from heaven. ‘I will climb up to my watchtower
and stand at my guard post.
There I will wait to see what the Lord says
and how he will answer my complaintHab. 2:1. Habakkuk said, ‘I will set my watch’, meaning I will go Read the rest of this entry
