Earn Some!
2 Thess. 3:12 “In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we appeal to people–no, we command them: Settle down and get to work. Earn your own living” [with emphasis]
When it comes to stepping up financially, there are seven areas in which you have to Step Up in concurrently otherwise you will have a problem stepping up financially. But if you Step Up in these areas, you will inevitably Step Up financially, in Jesus Name. Read the rest of this entry
Relax!
Isaiah 43: 2 “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
Do not be afraid! Instead have the kind of confidence, the God kind of confidence that is hinged in God’s truth. Why? You should not be afraid because as a child of God, you never go through crisis alone. The choice to tap into God or not is another thing entirely. But be confident about this very thing, you never go through crisis alone. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. If God is near then there is no fear. Since God is near then there is no fear. You and I must be focused on God’s closeness.
Do Right II
Heb. 13:5 “. . . Be content with what you have, because God has said, `I will never leave you nor forsake you.'” [with emphasis]
This is the key to contentment, understanding that it is God that has provided what you have currently. So keep your eyes on Him and not on what every other person has or does not have. For some people, what they are wearing is great until they step out of their house. And then what they have suddenly becomes inadequate because they have given into the trap of comparison. Comparison is the greatest source of discontentment. Be content in your connection with God; be content in your connection to the source of all things.
