God’s Truth I
‘All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work’ 2 Tim.3:16-17.
We can never thank God enough for the gift of His Word. God inspires all scripture and it’s useful to teach us what is true. To make us realize what is wrong with our lives so that we can make corrections. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. You can rely on God’s Word for clarification on any and every subject. Today we will be treating a question that is bothering a lot of people in today’s world. Are people born homosexuals? There is a current trend in the world today that some people are born Read the rest of this entry
Blameless Word
‘Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes…’ Mal.3:10-11.
A lot of believers have questions about tithing. Some say they always bring an offering to God but do not tithe so they want to know if God will kill them. I would say no, God won’t kill you but devourers just might because they will face your finances. The only answer to avoiding devourers is to tithe, nothing more nothing less. The Word of God is clear on this. God says ‘should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated me! But you ask, what do you mean? When did we ever cheat you? You have cheated me of the tithes and offerings Read the rest of this entry
Upright Word
‘Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body’ 1Cor.6:18
I have encountered a couple of people who are faced with the temptation of sexual sin. Quite a number of men today are being seduced by their best friend’s wife and vice versa. Some initially start out trying to resist the temptation but as time passes, they realize that resisting sexual sin is tougher than most people think. What should you do? Three simple words answer this question – RUN, RUN, RUN! When it comes to the devil, the Bible says submit to God, then resist the devil and he will flee from you. But when it comes to Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Gratitude
‘Then Naaman and his entire party went back to find the man of God. They stood before him, and Naaman said, “Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant’ 2 kings 5:15
The final voice that Naaman experienced was the voice of gratitude. Many times we do not show gratitude to God. In fact, gratitude to God becomes a second thought. I have been guilty of this, I believe, in the past. I would pray to God for something major. I’d stay in the place of prayer for as long as it takes and trust God to bring it to pass. Then God does it and I am excited and happy. I call my wife we talk about it but I never really say thank you to God. Then God prompts me Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Obedience
‘But his officers tried to reason with him and said, “Sir, if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it? So you should certainly obey him when he says simply, ‘Go and wash and be cured!’ 2 kings 5:13.
The fourth voice Naaman experienced was the voice of obedience. The only voice that came from within Naaman was the voice of logic. All the other voices came from without. Be careful who you surround yourself with. Naaman’s officers helped him see reason with the instruction of the prophet. What counsel are you receiving from those around you? Are they helping you follow God’s path into the fulfillment of your destiny? Or are they confusing you and causing you to stray away Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Logic
‘Aren’t the rivers of Damascus, the Abana and the Pharpar, better than any of the rivers of Israel? Why shouldn’t I wash in them and be healed?” So Naaman turned and went away in a rage’ 2 kings 5:12
The third voice that Naaman experienced was the voice of logic – the voice of reason. In Naaman’s logical mind, there were rivers in Damascus that were far better than the rivers in Israel. If all he required was to be dipped and become clean then why was it necessary to come all the way to Israel? It did not make any sense to him. Many times God’s instruction does not align with your thinking. Naaman had a fair idea of how the healing process would play out. He expected that the Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Instruction
‘But Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy’ 2 kings 5:10.
The second voice Naaman experienced after he moved in the direction of the first voice was the voice of instruction. ‘Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy”. This made Naaman extremely furious. “I thought he would certainly come out to meet me!” he said. “I expected him to wave his hand over the leprosy and call on the name of the Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Direction
‘One day the girl said to her mistress, “I wish my master would go to see the prophet in Samaria. He would heal him of his leprosy’ 2 king 5:3.
Naaman experienced five voices. We must understand these five voices. A lot of people experience the first three voices but I am praying that we’ll get to experience the last two in addition. The first voice that Naaman experienced was the voice of direction. The voice of direction said to Naaman there is a prophet in Israel. Many of us are looking for the voice of direction. Some are waiting for thunder and lightening and the voice of God. For Naaman, the voice of direction came from Read the rest of this entry
King, Priest, and Prophet
‘And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen’ Rev.1:6 [KJV].
‘The letter to the king of Israel said: “With this letter I present my servant Naaman. I want you to heal him of his leprosy.” When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes in dismay and said, “This man sends me a leper to heal! Am I God, that I can give life and take it away? I can see that he’s just trying to pick a fight with me’ 2 Kings 5:6-7. The king of Aram placed a demand on the king of Israel for what only a prophet can deliver. The king of Israel immediately Read the rest of this entry
Pray To God!
‘Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens! Praise Him from the skies! Praise him, all his angels! Praise him, all the armies of heaven!’ Ps.148:1-2.
It is only when Jesus is being lifted up that angels are free to do what they are created to do. ‘We are standing on holy ground. And I know that there are angles all around. Let us praise Jesus now. We are standing in His presence on holy ground’. As the song points out, the object of our worship is not the angels around us but Jesus Himself. It is only the presence of God that can make a place holy. ‘If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High Read the rest of this entry
