Shut The Door!
‘Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from the flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled’ 2 Kings 4:4
Principle #7 is the closet principle. The closet principle simply states that multiplication occurs in the dark. Children grow while sleeping. Plants grow roots underground. Even reproduction takes place in the dark. ‘Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled”. Shut the door behind you! Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It is like a house, you mouth is a door – shut Read the rest of this entry
You Have Oil!
‘What can I do to help you? Elisha asked. ‘Tell me, what do you have in the house?” “Nothing at all, except a flask of olive oil,” she replied’ 2 Kings 4:2
‘So she did as she was told. Her sons kept bringing jar to her, and she filled one after another’ 2 kings 4:5. Many of us are looking up to God for a miracle. But you see, God will not do by miracle what we can do in obedience. God has told you do ‘A’, just do it! It does not matter if ‘A’ does not make sense, or if it will cost you a lot, or if you have never done it before. God says, ‘I want to do what has never happened in your lifetime before. So I am going to ask you to do what you have Read the rest of this entry
Obey Divine Direction
‘So she did as she was told. Her sons kept bringing jar to her, and she filled one after another’ 2 kings 4:5.
In time past, I was driving in London and had to attend church. I did not know the routes so I had to drive using a GPS navigator. But that fateful, morning there was road construction going on and the GPS had not updated itself. It did not know that there was a roadblock so it took me right to it. And I began to wonder how I will get to church; of course the GPS was recalculating, and I did not want to get to church late. I wasn’t preaching, in fact they don’t even know me in the church. Divine Direction
‘Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north’ Deut. 2:2-3
Principle #3 is the principle of divine direction. The principle of divine direction simply states that God knows your way out of poverty. Go and get that direction from Him. In the part of the world that I come from, they say ‘it is God that knows the path to wealth’ [Yoruba proverb translated]. In other words, there is something that you need to do to be successful but God alone know what it is. There is a path that the fowl of the air does not even know. There is a God in heaven that knows Read the rest of this entry
For Your Good II
‘But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband’ 1 Cor.7:2[NIV]
Songs of Solomon is a very graphic book when it comes to sexual relationships between a man and a woman. You cannot be holier than God. God says something is holy then it is holy. God says sex in marriage is honorable and the bed is undefiled. Then it is honorable. So why do you feel guilty anytime you make love with your spouse? Something is wrong somewhere. There was a lady that we had to do some form of deliverance for because every time she is with her Read the rest of this entry
Vertical Peace
‘Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me’ Ps.23:4
God wants us to pursue peace in our relationship with Him. When we fail to do this successfully it causes unrest in all of our relationships. People begin to take out their frustrations in their relationships. Men do this a lot, they get back home from work frustrated and because they have not sorted it out with God they pounce on their wives. God bless the women, they stomach all the man’s issues in marriage. Many times I too have to control or correct Read the rest of this entry
Display Mercy
‘Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’ Matt.18:33.
There was a king in a far away country that had several subjects. Mufu was one of the king’s subjects, a successful businessman with a lot of business ideas. Mufu needed to borrow money to fund some of his ideas. The king out of generosity allowed Mufu to borrow money from the treasury. Over time Mufu borrowed several millions from the king. Mufu had a friend Kofi, and while Mufu was borrowing from the king, Kofi was borrowing from Mufu. Mufu Read the rest of this entry
New Direction!
‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts’ Isa.55:9 [KJV].
Today I will be sharing an experience with you. I trust that God will use this experience to teach, shape, mold, and humble you as He did me. I trust that this experience will help you understand and appreciate the sovereignty of God even more in Jesus Name. ‘For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts’ Read the rest of this entry
Struggling?
‘In the same way, you younger men must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, serve each other in humility, for “God opposes the proud but favors the humble’ 1 Pet.5:5.
Another major difference between the humble and the proud is that proud people compare themselves with others and feel worthy. As long as their performance rates higher than the next person, they feel better than the next person and in some cases better about themselves. Humble people on the other hand compare themselves with the holiness of God and feel desperate for His mercy. The humble Read the rest of this entry
Look Inward II
‘In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself’ Eph.5:28
People like to go where they are appreciated; husbands, wives, and singles please take note. Repeatedly husbands complain that their wives are disrespectful to them. There are many situations that usually would warrant this. Familiarity is one of the things that can warrant disrespect so wives please be careful because as human beings we treat with contempt what we are familiar with. Wives the onus is on you to refuse to see your husband as ordinary because he is not ordinary and vice versa. There is more to him than meets the Read the rest of this entry
