How To… III
“So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world” Col.3:5
What to “put to death”: “…Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world” Col.3:5 [emphasis added]. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality; in other words do not even flirt, which is what it means to have nothing to do Read the rest of this entry
How To… II
“So kill your earthly impulses: loose sex, impure actions, unbridled sensuality, wicked thoughts, and greed (which is essentially idolatry)” Col.3:5 [VOICE]
Paul urges us to put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within. So how do you put to death [kill]? Two practical scriptural ways of killing;
#1. You hand it over to the Holy Ghost. You put your life on the altar and you surrender that Read the rest of this entry
How To… I
“So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world” Col.3:5.
Paul says to us to gain victory over the enemy you must do three things. The first thing you do is Put to death; the second thing you do is Put off; then the third thing you do you is Put on. The King James translation for Colossians 3:5 reads, “ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth…”. Read the rest of this entry
All!
“Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness” Col.2:7
Build your life on Christ which means you ensure that every block you are putting in place is on Christ. “In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” Col.2:3. I have news for you from this passage of Scripture, all you will ever need to know is in Christ – all! Everything was made by Him. We thank God for scientist, scientist are amazing, I am a Read the rest of this entry
Who Are You?
“I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser” John 15:1 [AMP]
I try to be like Jesus, we all should be like Jesus. I have been asked a lot of the time, how come you are not stressed? How do you even find the time to read a book? I say to people that I read four books at the same time why because if I read one book I get bored. My brain needs to be working in different directions. Not one but Read the rest of this entry
Goal Setting III
“If you plan and work hard, you will have plenty; if you hurry to get rich, you will end up poor” Prov.21:5 [CEV].
#7. R is for REVELATION. What Scripture supports your goal? As believers all our goals should be scriptural [based on the Bible]. There should be a revelation that backs up the goals you set. A Christian man decides one day that his goal for that year is to marry a second wife. He Read the rest of this entry
Levels Of Obedience II
“So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?” Acts 4:18-19.
The first level of obedience is to the Word of God. The second level of obedience is to the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God can never lead you contrary to the Word of God. If you feel a leading to do anything contrary to the Word of God, dismiss it. The third level of obedience is to authority. God expects us to obey constituted authority. However, where authority is asking us to contravene God, Read the rest of this entry
Levels Of Obedience I
“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do” Josh.1:8 [emphasis added].
You have read in the Bible that we should study it, meditate on it, and just do it. Peter asked Jesus how many times does one forgive his brother in a single day and Jesus said seventy times seven in a single day. You have read it, meditated on it, just do it. Someone has offended you, the next thing you do is forgive. But rather you are saying no one understands, you need time… What do you need time Read the rest of this entry
My Saviour
“May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation – the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ – for this will bring much glory and praise to God” Phil. 1:11
Yeshua, Jesus, came to save us from sin and everything that came as a result of sin. Sickness, devils, poverty, attacks; everything that came as a result of sin, Jesus came to save us from. This is why it is important to seek God, corporately and individually, and enforce everything Jesus has done for us. You will enforce it and it will stand, in Jesus Name. Read the rest of this entry
The Church
“For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all” Eph.4:4-6.
The church is a body and this is how God intends for it to be. This is why everybody must be actively involved in what goes on in his or her local church. You need to get uncomfortable with watching other people do God’s work because it is not just for a certain group of people. In the past, it was assigned to the Levites but the Bible tells Read the rest of this entry
