Are you looking to man to be the light that brightens and brings illumination to the dark places in your life? Are you depending on a human being for protection or for energizing? Heirs
Ex.17: 8 While the Israelites were camped at Rephidim, soldiers of Amalek came and attacked them” [with emphasis]
The first thing that stands out in the story of the children of Israel from Exodus 17:8-13 [please read], is that the Power to Prevail is released when You Become. The Israelites were God’s people; they had the seed of God in them. 1Jn.5:4 “for everyone born of God overcomes the world…” [NIV]. The power to prevail is released when the seed of God is formed in you. The power to prevail is released when you become a child of God. You cannot prevail against the world except you are born of God.
Activate & Benefit
Gen.22:17 “I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies.”
Jesus became a curse so that we can be engrafted into the blessings of Abraham. However, to have access to something is one thing, to activate that thing is another matter. There are many of Abraham’s children that are spiritually depressed. Even in the nation of Israel, there are a lot of people that are not saved. Jesus is telling us that it is possible to have access to something and not to use it or benefit from it.
Lock It Down!
Gen.32:24 “…But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 28 “Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.””
How can a man wrestle with God and win? It is easy to read this and miss the weight of the exchange that happened and the statement that God made. The Lord is God, the God of all the earth. The One that gave boundaries to the proud waves of the sea; the same One that gives command to the lightening and marches out the stars every night. The Wind
“The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord…” Eze.37:1
Yesterday we put to rest the false thinking that the problem is the problem. The problem is not the problem. The problem is your capacity. So I pray again, that the God of heaven will increase your capacity on all fronts, in Jesus Name. So stop blaming the adversity and start building your strength. Start building your strength spiritually. Spiritual exercises [fasting, prayer, vigils] are strength builders. However, when it comes to the supernatural, while you must play your part, your strength will not be enough. Stay with me; we are taking this to another level.
Access Control IV
“ So I tell you, live the way the Spirit leads you. Then you will not do the evil things your sinful self wants. The sinful self wants what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is against the sinful self” Gal.5:16-17 [ERV]
God is bringing us into a new season and so it is key that you and I shut the door to satan in our lives and shut the door to bad habits. You insist on drinking alcohol but it is destroying your liver. “And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” Matt.16:19
The door is a symbol of access control. I trust that in this season God will open your eyes to see areas where you need to shut the door to the enemy.
