Only Jesus
‘Crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” Luke17:13
Now it is important to pay detailed attention to the prayer of these lepers. They said Jesus, Master help us – have mercy upon us. They worshipped as it were. They recognized the person of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven given unto man by which he can be saved. The Word of God says that ‘when you come to the Father, everything you ask in His name, He will hear you’. Jesus is the way, He the truth, and He is the life. These ten lepers were clear about that, they acknowledged it, and they Read the rest of this entry
No Falsehood
‘As he entered a village there, ten lepers stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” Luke17:12-13.
Please read Luke 17:11-18. It is an amazing story. Sometimes we read this kind of stories and we say in our heart “what an ungrateful bunch!” “How can anyone treat Jesus like that?” “Don’t they have home training, couldn’t they just have gone back to say thank you to Jesus?” But we need to check our lives, how grateful are we ourselves? The ten lepers saw Jesus coming and they said “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”. That was the beginning of their turning point. I am here to tell you that you are only a Read the rest of this entry
Priority
‘Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me’ 2 Cor.12:8-9.
The victory God wants to win in you is more important than the victory you want God to win for you. It’s not just about the breakthroughs; God wants to do a work in you and I that is more important than any breakthrough you and I can get. Some people want to be healed but they don’t want to be disinfected because they love the bacteria. It does not work that way. Come and be washed in the blood. There is something that God wants to do in you that is more important than what God wants to do for Read the rest of this entry
Don’t Stop, Keep Moving!
‘But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint’ Isaiah 40:31
The fourth thing that you and I need to know when the light turns to green is just move and keep moving. ‘Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.’ Isaiah40:30-31. God is saying even the youth will faint and be weary but those that wait upon the Lord will not get weary. Which car is the fastest based Read the rest of this entry
Focus
‘But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God’ Luke9:62
The third thing we need to deal with when the light changes to green is focus. Forward motion requires forward focus. You cannot be moving forward and be looking backwards. You are going to make a mistake or run into something. If you are moving forward be looking forward. ‘Another said, “Yes, Lord, I will follow you, but first let me say good-bye to my family.” But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God’ Luke9:61-62. If you are Read the rest of this entry
Act Fast
‘But as he came close to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, he began to weep. How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace’ Luke 9:41-42.
Jesus said concerning Jerusalem, “I wish you knew your time of visitation”. The fact that God desired it didn’t mean it was known to them. The fact that God desires something for you does not mean it will automatically come to being. God’s desire is for all to be saved and go to heaven. Are people not going to hell? The fact that something is God’s will does not automatically bring it to pass. The light can change based on your response. One man said about the girl that God was leading him to marry that she had Read the rest of this entry
Make Haste
‘We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work’ John 9:4
‘“How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side.’ Luke19:42-43. I am praying today that you will know the time that God has come to save you. For some people they think they can get born again whenever they want to get born again. The Bible says don’t harden your heart when God calls you Read the rest of this entry
Action Time
“We realize that we have sinned, but now we are ready to enter the land the Lord has promised us.” But Moses said, …It won’t work. Do not go up into the land now. You will only be crushed by your enemies because the Lord is not with you’ Num.14:40-42
The second thing you need to understand when it comes to moving forward is called the Window of Response. Please read Numbers 14. The truth is while you will always have time as long as you are alive, you will never always have an opportune time. Imagine you are at the T-junction waiting for the light to change and there is a long line of cars behind you. Your windows are up, music playing, and your head is down and you are texting. Once the light changes to green, what happens to all the cars Read the rest of this entry
Know Your Father
‘After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice’ John 10:4.
“I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice” John10:1-5. You need to know your Father. Note that even though the shepherd Read the rest of this entry
Direction
“Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north’ Deut.2:2-3.
The first thing God wants you to know about moving forward is that Direction is Key. If you are at a T-junction when the light turns green, where should you go? And that is the basis of confusion for a lot of people. Today God will eradicate confusion from our lives, in Jesus name. In today’s Scripture reference, God was saying to Moses “you have gone round this mountain long enough, turn you northward”. God gives direction. Today you will hear God clearly giving you the specific direction you need to Read the rest of this entry
