Unboxed

‘He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying’ Matt.28:6

God does the most unusual things. You find that when it comes to situations where you seem to have things all figured out. And you have God in a box of possibilities; He simply refuses to be in that box. God simply refuses to solve the situation the way you have it figured or planned out. You find that things happen in irrational ways. The things you ordinarily would do and get results Read the rest of this entry

Bigger and Better

‘Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green’ Ps.92:14.

When you are planted, your life becomes bigger. The Bible says ‘two are better than one’. None of us is as anointed as all of us. When we combine forces our impact is greater. When you connect with other Christians you can do a lot more. When a husband and a wife agree, the Bible says they can chase 10,000. Then picture the explosive effect when ten couples agree. We can achieve Read the rest of this entry

Become All God Wants You To Be

‘…Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us’ Rom.12:3

For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever!Rom.11:36. You are created by God and your life is intended for His glory. A Place To Belong

‘Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other’ Rom.12:4-5

We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other’. Being planted in Church, gives us a place to belong. It is impossible to believe without belonging. If you think you can believe without belonging, then you will not believe for long. Believe it. If you say you believe and you do not belong over time what you believe will be corrupted. Why, because iron sharpens iron. If you Read the rest of this entry

Builds Your Beliefs

‘Father to the fatherless, Defender of widows—this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families; He sets the prisoners free and gives them joy…’ Ps.68:5-6

We know by now that God created us for connectedness and it His desire for us to be planted in a Church family. ‘God places the lonely in families’. There are a lot of benefits of being planted in a Church family. Five of such benefits will be treated over the next few devotionals. The very first benefit of being planted is that when you are planted it builds your beliefs. Your faith grows as Read the rest of this entry

Planted

‘But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong… For they are transplanted to the LORD’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green’ Ps.92:12-14

Incidentally the word planted also means to be established. God’s Word for us this year is establishment. One key to establishment is being planted in the Lord’s own house. Everyone is planted somewhere. When God wants us to flourish, He transplants us. Your location will determine whether you will flourish or you will wither. Like the story of Naomi and Ruth, they Read the rest of this entry

New Level

‘…Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water. Yes, come, Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus Matt.14:28-29

Moving from one place to another requires first a decision to let go of point ‘A’ and enter into the relatively new point ‘B’. For you to enter into your new level, you must also be willing to enter the new and exit the old. If you are unwilling to move, entering the new level will be totally impossible. You must be willing Read the rest of this entry

You Matter To Your Church Family

‘Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where He wants it’ 1Cor.12:14&18.

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ1Cor.12:12. The Church is a body. There is a part you have to play. A role that God has carved out for you. That part of the puzzle specially designed for your piece to plug into. If you refuse to plug in, the puzzle remains incomplete. The more we can get people to plug into the purposes of God, the Read the rest of this entry

You Matter To Your Biological Family

‘…He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. No, don’t be afraid. I will continue to take care of you and your children…’ Gen.50:20 -21

Joseph in addition to serving his generation served his biological family. You matter to your biological family. You matter to your parents, siblings, step father and mother, cousins, spouse, and to your children. You matter. God has put you in your biological family for a purpose. One of such purposes could be the salvation of the souls. Your purpose in your family may just be to preach Jesus to the people Read the rest of this entry
