Line Upon Line

“He tells us everything over and over— one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there!” Isa.28:10

“He tells us everything over and over— one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there!” If God, the Maker of the heavens and the earth takes time out to tell you everything over and over, don’t you think you need to pay attention to what He is saying? Little beginnings can be equated to the place of waiting perhaps for the next big thing or for the doors to open unto you. God has placed you close to married people so that He can birth a desire in you for the next big thing He has planned for you. When you do not desire change, you will not see the need to grow or strive for better. Pay attention! Let God birth the right desire in you and then you run with it. Staying where God has put you does not mean having a closed mind. Stay there but desire and prepare for greatness and He will take you to it. Meditate on what God says concerning you and God will take you from the field to the throne. “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you doJosh.1:8. In other words, the only way to success is in the Living Word. Submit your desire for greatness to the Holy Spirit so that those desires do not rule you. Desire can easily turn to idolatry. God has to be your number one focus. His Words must rule your thoughts. Then and only then will you get to discover that God also desires prosperity for you but not at the cost of your soul [3 John 1:2 KJV]. God cares more for your ‘here-after’ than your ‘here-and-now’. Even God calls it ‘beginnings’ because His plans for you do not end with what you can see right now. You have identified where you want to be, desire it, and let the Holy Spirit establish it. The Holy Spirit is here to help you desire right and achieve more because God desires the best for us. And we know that God is able to give us much more than we ask, hope, or even imagine but He has to build your foundations first so that when He starts to build on it you do not crack under pressure.

True sacrifice to God results in unimaginable breakthrough. It is important to remember that when men look on the outside, God looks at the heart. This is why Jesus took us through the example of the widow and the significance of her offering [Please read Mark 12:41-44]. In the eyes of men, what she gave was of little importance but before God it had great significance. Pay the price, commit to Jesus and grow in your devotion to Him daily.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, breathe over me and birth a desire in me for the greatness God has planned for me. Help me keep my focus and make God priority always, in Jesus Name.
