Alive!
Then he got in the boat, his disciples with him. The next thing they knew, they were in a severe storm. Waves were crashing into the boat—and he was sound asleep! They roused him, pleading, “Master, save us! We’re going down!” Matt.8:23-23 [MSG]
Please read Matthew 8:23-27. Sometimes, you are just minding your business, going about life as you have planned and then suddenly, a terrible storm rises in your life. And you wonder where it came from? I have good news for you, because you have come into the Presence of the Lord, the storm will be still. Jesus rebuked the wind and the wind obeyed Him. Interestingly, Jesus is still alive and well. He is Read the rest of this entry
His Way
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him” John 9:3
Do not let a limitation in one area ground your entire life. Go! Move Forward! It is painful to see people’s lives come to a standstill just because they are trusting God for admission into the University, or for marriage, or for children. God is saying, do not allow a limitation in one area paralyze your whole life. In fact, as you begin Read the rest of this entry
Move!
“He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “sent”). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!” John 9:7
“He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam”, in essence Jesus was saying to him, you are blind but you are not lame so go to the pool. Use your legs, walk! The man could have given a lot of excuses such as; I cannot see, I do not know the way, or I would bump into a wall. A lot of us are used to giving excuses. Stop giving excuses. STOP IT! Personally, I grow very impatient with people who Read the rest of this entry
Obedience
“He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “sent”). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!” John 9:7
For you to get to where God wants to take you, for you to eat the good of the land, you must not only obey, you must submit. Total submission and obedience because God looks at the heart. God’s Word says, if you are willing to obey, you will eat the good of the land. I pray you eat the good of the land in Jesus Name. This means Read the rest of this entry
Willingly
“He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “sent”). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!” John 9:7
To submit means to willingly allow another person do to you as he or she pleases. Jesus smeared the man’s face with mud, making him look like a masquerade. The man was blind and then Jesus made him lose all physical appeal, so how will he get help. But this man stayed the course. He submitted to the entire process and he Read the rest of this entry
Submission
“Then He spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyes” John 9:6
The story in John 9:1-41 is a perfect reference for how to engage the Person of Jesus and deploy the principles of Jesus. From this story, the person of Jesus was engaged and the principles of Jesus were deployed for the miracle to occur and for the glory of God to be revealed. Two principles of Jesus particularly were deployed in the story, before we saw the miracle happen and the glory of God Read the rest of this entry
The Advantage
“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you” John 14:17
If you engage the Person of Jesus and deploy the principles of Jesus you get the miracles of Jesus! Engaging only His Person will give you comfort and eternal security. Deploying only His principles will give you success. But the intersection of the Person of Jesus and the principle of Jesus is the miracle of Jesus. So if you Read the rest of this entry
Provocative Blessings II
“Then they took the man who had been blind to the Pharisees, because it was on the Sabbath that Jesus had made the mud and healed him” John 9:13-14
The truth is, if there is nothing in your life that is making other people envious of you, then really, God has not started with you. And I pray that God will start with you today. The truth is, that is just how it is. When God begins to work in your favour, it will stir up envy in others. It was out of envy that Jesus was killed. Joseph was sold into slavery because of envy. If the blessings have not provoked jealousy, it has not yet peaked. I pray that your blessings will not Read the rest of this entry
Provocative Blessings I
“Then they took the man who had been blind to the Pharisees, because it was on the Sabbath that Jesus had made the mud and healed him” John 9:13-14
When a man who was blind from birth gets healed, what should happen in the community? They should be rejoicing and celebrating, right? However, I read the story in John 9:1-41, more than once, and nobody rejoiced with this man. The disciples did not rejoice with him, his neighbors did not rejoice with him, the Read the rest of this entry
His Time
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him” John 9:3
Miracles bring glory to our God. If you truly understand that miracles bring glory to God you would know that you should not be fretting. In other words, Your life is for His glory. Meaning, if it is well with you, it is for the glory of the Father. Do you understand? So it is in His interest that you are doing well. Which also means you do Read the rest of this entry
