Guaranteed Help!

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed” Isa.53:5 [KJV].

Isaiah talked about it in the future tense “…with His stripes we are healed” but Peter talks about it in the past tense, “…by His stripes we were healed”. This tells us that we really do not have to wait. If people like Isaiah, Elijah, and Elisha could look into the future and see Jesus, then we really do not have to wait. A lot of us are carrying things we do not have to carry. The truth is that this human body is frail and it will give way one day. This body will have challenges but Jesus has made provision for us to walk out of it. That gives me some comfort. Thank you Jesus!

I know from scriptures that when Jesus walked the face of the earth everyone that came in contact with Him was healed. Read your Bible! Jesus never said to any one who came to Him, ‘…just endure this illness, this may be your cross’. Even the dead that were brought to Him had life restored to them. Every funeral that Jesus attended became a celebration because the dead always came back to life. Jesus is totally Awesome! Jesus does not give excuses, He delivers!

Yet even though I have seen amazing miracles, I have also seen people who did not get healed. I still don’t know why and it crushes me totally. I say to God, why are some healings not instant, it is Your power? I also know that with some healings, God has done it but why are they not instant? [Please read 2Kings 20:5] Why would God say it would take Hezekiah three days to get back on his feet? This same God that spoke and the earth was formed; with the blast of His nostrils the red sea parted; this God that raised an exceedingly great army from dry bones.

What am I saying? There is a dimension of God we have to wrestle with. I do not want to disciple a people that do not know God or that just know the acts of God and do not know the ways of God; People who think it is only about miracles and if miracles do not happen they give God an attitude. What you and I need to know, what is most important, is the Word of God. Hannah heard the Word of God and rejoiced, even though it took nine months to manifest. Hold on to God’s Word, it never fails.

Prayer: Father, help me to keep my focus on You and believe every Word You have spoken, in Jesus Name.
