Stand Tall!

You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house” Matt.5:14-15 [emphasis added]

You are the light of the world! These are the direct words of Jesus. You are the light of the world and you are to Stand Tall. There are a lot of things that attempt to bow us down. Things such as, the shame of a past mistake, our family history, the fear of the unknown, or even the fear of things we have suffered. So we curse everything in our physical bodies that is trying to prevent us from Standing Tall and we command it to dry up from its roots in Jesus Name.

There are a lot of battles going on in the world, physical battles, spiritual battles, and moral battles. But I am here to tell you that no matter how bleak the future of the world looks; the future is brighter than you think. God’s Word to us today is, Stand Tall everywhere you are because you are the light of the world. No one sets up a light and puts it under a bed. So I am speaking over you, the God of heaven will locate you and He will place you upon your stand because every light needs a stand.

Please read Luke 14:8-11. This is a spiritual principle. If you find yourself in any situation, choose humility. When you choose humility, the forces of heaven are released and orchestrated to lift you up. If you choose pride, the forces of Heaven are released and orchestrated to humble you. God resists the proud. Standing Tall has nothing to do with being arrogant. Standing Tall is not about pride in your person, it is all about confidence and security in your God.

Please read 1Samuel 17:22-37. David may have gone to the battle field as an errand boy but his confidence in God catapulted him to a different status. David’s conversation with Saul revealed where his confidence was. The lion came, I killed the lion by God; a bear came, I killed the bear by God; and this Philistine will go the way of the lion and the bear because of this same God. David was not saying because I am good but because my God is good. He did not say because I am strong but rather my God is strong. He did not say because I am powerful but rather my God is powerful. This same God will locate you and place you on your stand.

Prayer: Father, I receive the grace, wisdom, and empowerment required to Stand Tall in every area of my life and to remain Standing Tall, in Jesus Name.
