Go!

Haggai 2:7 I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will be brought to this Temple. I will fill this place with glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

Today we will kick off with our closing thought from yesterday, which is holding on to what God has placed a demand on renders that thing useless to you. Take the principle of tithing for instance, whoever decides to keep God’s ten percent will not only lose that ten percent, the person will end up losing everything. That is just how it works. Anything you do not honor God with becomes labeled for destruction. That is how it works.

I know people who when they had nothing, did not have issues with sacrificing. Then God turned their story around and guess what? They stopped sacrificing because they started thinking they had arrived. Heaven perceives it as a lack of capacity for greatness. It is a pattern that we must be deliberate about breaking in our own lives. It is a principle – when you are faithful in little, more will be added. Make up your mind to remain faithful in little and in much. You have to remind yourself that there is always much more in God. So do not get complacent.

When God says, “be strong and get to work”, He is saying everything has a price tag. Every future you can envision has a price tag. Locate the price tag, pay it and it will become yours. Someone paid the price for everything you see today [physical and spiritual]. Even salvation, Jesus paid the price for it. God says, be strong and get to work, pay the price.

Zech.4:8 Then another message came to me from the Lord: 9 “Zerubbabel is the one who laid the foundation of this Temple, and he will complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has sent me. 10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand” [emphasis added]. It is all right to start small; just start and go forward. Do not despise the days of little beginnings. The challenge is that we often think that we have to start big for it to matter. But God is saying, start small so that when promotion comes, you will know that He alone is responsible for your multiplication. Start from where you are and God will show you that He is able to multiply. Start from where you are.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, please give me the grace not to hold on to anything but You; I will not hold anything back from You.
