The Answer!

Matt. 9:29 “According to your faith it will be done to you.”

The sixth R in banishing the fear of failure is to Replace Fear With Faith in Christ. You and I must replace our fears with faith in Christ. Why? “According to your faith it will be done to you.” You can program yourself for faith in God or the fear of failure. It is your choice. Instead of being driven by the fear of failing, you should be driven by the faith to succeed. Instead of being faith-driven success seekers, a lot of people are fear-driven failure avoiders.

Phil. 4:13I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me” [GN, with emphasis]. The strength to face all conditions does not come from my strength, or a crystal ball, or from the influence of a substance, or from alcohol. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The answer to the fear that we feel, the fear of failure and every other fear, is a person – Jesus, His proximity and His voice.

Ps.23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures… 3 …he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” [KJV]. The rod there symbolizes His leading and direction. The antidote to fear and the fear of failure is His Presence and His voice. When we hear His voice it speaks peace to our hearts and in the midst of confusion, we can go on.

I remember the very first God Will Do It Again Service; I had a serious mind attack. The enemy was telling me that it was going to fail, nobody would show up, nobody will be healed, there will be no breakthroughs, and I would just be deceiving people. I hate being hypocritical so I was going to cancel the program. But the Lord spoke to me and His voice drove away all the fear. I was totally blown away by the number of people that God healed and who gave their lives to Jesus Christ. If only we can hear our Father’s voice. God knows that we are dependent on His instructions and direction. Sometimes we think we are the ones making all the effort to hear His voice but the Father is also bearing the weight.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, let Your Presence and Your voice deliver me from all my fears. Take me by the hand and guide me in all things, in Jesus Name. Amen!
