Point Of Contact IV

Acts 19:11 “Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.”

Handkerchiefs were taken from Paul’s body and carried to where Paul himself could not go and those handkerchiefs healed the sick. I mean that is just amazing – charge and discharge. A man once came for one of our God Will Do It Again Services and when it was time for anointing, he had his handkerchief anointed. This man traveled home to his sick mother who had been unable to walk. He laid the handkerchief on her and the woman got her healing and began to walk. All glory to Jesus, now and forever.

God is still alive and well, doing miracles and performing wonders. As you have brought your point of contact to Jesus, your life is going to change, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. However, it is possible for the point of contact not to work. Again, we will learn from a particular story in the Bible. A particular woman had housed Elisha on his many travels and took it a step further to actually build him a place of rest. Elisha was moved and he sought to fill the gaps in her life. That is the best place to be where God will ask you what do you want? People were up all night trying to get God’s attention, meanwhile God was waking Solomon up and asking him what he wanted because of the sacrifice Solomon gave.

This woman served God in such a way that God sought her out. Check, nobody serves God and goes back empty – nobody! God has not called us to serve Him in vain. Even if you are serving God without expecting a reward, He will reward you. That is how God is. Peter had gone out all day trying to catch fish. Jesus asked to use his boat and Peter was not asking for a miracle. And because of the nature of God, he rewarded Peter with an abundance of fish.

The woman did not ask but God saw her need for a child and gave her a child.

Picture this- this woman did not have a child but she was not bitter or grumpy. She served God cheerfully, giving her best and she was using her initiative to do things God has not even asked for. Everyone that comes to God must believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Prayer: Father, grow my faith in You and my service unto You, in Jesus Name. Amen!
