No Loss!

Prov. 11:¹⁶ (KJV) “A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches”

The fourth thing you need to do to Step Up financially is to permit No Loss. Yesterday, we established that the first way to lose money is not to tithe. Second way to lose money is to get robbed. It is possible to be paying your tithe and people are stealing from you. It is just annoying so you have to be brutal. Personally, I cannot stand people that lie. I can fire somebody for lying and it is because the person that lies can steal. That is what my grandmother used to tell us and I believe it. And since I do not lose money I am brutal about ensuring that there are no lairs in my circle.

The third sure way of losing money is being reckless. Do not keep a budget; just spend as it comes; pay as you go. This is one of the fastest ways to poverty. The Bible says in Prov. 21:¹⁷ “Those who love pleasure become poor; those who love wine and luxury will never be rich.” It is in the Bible! So you have to plug the holes financially. When you adopt the mindset, “I do not lose money”, you will begin to see things around you that lead to loss. For instance, do you know that if you keep the tyre of your car at the right pressure you will save money? If the pressure of your tyre is not at the right level, you will spend more on petrol. But at the right level, you can save as much as fifty to a hundred thousand Naira a year on petrol.

If someone gave you a gift of one hundred thousand naira, will you not be happy? But you can give that gift to yourself just by checking the pressure of your tyres. And that is just one thing. When was the last time you checked your car tyres? Plug it! It is a common sense strategy. I am sharing these things with you from my life. In a month, I create a no spending week and in that week regardless of what comes up, I do not spend anything. This will force you to plan ahead. It is possible because my family runs on a budget. I do not lose money! No Loss!
