1 Peter 5:⁸ Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

Angels have specialties, some angels are messenger’s and their main function is to deliver packages, messages, miracles, healings, Words of knowledge, Words of wisdom, and prophetic Words from God. Then there are angels that execute, warring angels whose function is to tear down resistance. For the angels called the Cherubim and Seraphim, their specialty is to worship, they are designed for worship.They have six wings, they fly with two, cover their faces with two and cover their legs with two. They are forever in the Throne room chanting, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty which was, and is, and is to come.” Also present are the twenty-four elders, the four beasts, and the living creatures – all bowing down and crying, “Holy…” Angels exist to worship God, to deliver messages from God, to wage war with God’s enemies, and to serve God’s people.

The enemy [satan] has different tactics, consistent with his character, that he uses in warring believers. We will highlight mainly the major ones and we will see how God has equipped us to counter these tactics.

Enemy Tactic No.3: STEALING GOD’S WORD. Mark 4:14-15 [please read].

Enemy Tactic No.4: DECEPTION. 2 Cor.11:14-15 [please read].

Enemy Tactic No.5: SINNING. 1Jn.3:8-10 [please read]. Note that we have said sinning and not sin. While it is not acceptable, the truth is that Christians sin. But it is also true that as a Christian you cannot continue sinning because the life of God in you will fight it. The truth is, if you pay attention to the Holy Spirit, you can live above sin. Yes, it is possible to live above sin all the days of your life.

Eph.6:11-18 [please read], highlights the weapons God has provided for us to counter the tactics of satan and his demons. BELT OF TRUTH. The belt of truth comes off when a Christian begins to lie. When the belt comes off, the trouser will fall which means asking for shame and disgrace. THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, SANDALS OF THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF TRUTH, THE SHIELD OF FAITH, THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and THE SWORD OF THE SPIRT which is God’s Word. When you come out dressed like this every day, the devil will run away because he knows his head will be chopped off if he attempts to fight.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please help me identify and tear down every enemy attack with God’s truth, in Jesus Name. Amen!
