Implications II
Joshua 1:9 “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
God’s promise of New-Streams means we can expect New-Streams of colours and New-Streams of New-Wine. It is important to remember that the New Wine of the Holy Spirit, cannot be put in an old skin of the same way you have been behaving.
You need to put new wine in a new wine skin. When you have new wine of ideas and direction, you cannot put it in an old skin. You need to put it in a new skin. And it takes courage because sometimes you would need to stand alone, or people just would not understand you. If someone attempts to put your new wine into an old skin, you would have to stand up, confront it, and insist on a new wine skin, and that requires courage.
Expect New-Streams of Wealth, in the Name of Jesus. Isa.60:5 & 11 “Your eyes will shine, and your heart will thrill with joy, for merchants from around the world will come [stream] to you. They will bring you the wealth of many lands… “Your gates will be open continually; They will not be closed day or night, So that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations…” (emphasis added). The key thing about gates being open day or night is, you need courage. If men are bringing to you the wealth of nations and your gate is opened day and night to receive the wealth of the nations, you must have some form of protection and courage. There is a Yoruba adage that says that wealth is in the mouth of the lion. So even if God compels the lion to bring the wealth to you, the lion still has to open its mouth. And you still have to put your hand into the lion’s mouth and collect it and that requires courage.
Joshua 1:9 “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” If God was saying this to Gideon, we would understand it because Gideon was timid. But God was speaking to Joshua, a mighty warrior. This is the same Joshua that when Moses was on top of the mountain, he was down in the valley, doing the business. Joshua was bold and strong. Joshua did not listen to popular opinion; when his friends were playing, Joshua stayed with Moses in the tabernacle. Yet God was telling a man filled with courage, “be courageous”. You know that something is about to happen. Be courageous! Expect streams of wealth in your business; be courageous because God is with you and this God is the Commander of the Hosts of Angel Armies. You also have your church family behind you, praying for you. Be courageous! Why? For the Lord is with you.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for New-Streams of wealth; according to Your Word, nations and merchants will bring their wealth to me. I will stand courageous knowing that I and all that is mine belong to God who is with me and for me, in Jesus Name. Amen!
