Established in His Love II

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love’ Rom.8:38

Being established in God’s love makes you fearless and all of a sudden no one can oppress you. Think about it this way, even if you are staying in a rented apartment and you visit your sister who lives in a super-duper mansion. And the enemy wants to choke you with jealousy because their kitchen alone is bigger than your whole house put together. You will be able to resist him because ‘the earth belongs to [your Father] and the fullness thereof’. You will be able to withstand the enemy because you know who your Father is. It is only being rooted in God that gives you that power. Otherwise you will be subdued by the jealousy. I went through a season in my final year in university where God blessed me with skill in programing and it attracted a lot of jealousy from my peers. Like I say to you, you are going to have enemies especially as God blesses you. All you have to do is succeed and people will just hate you. You do not need to do anything else and you are going to succeed in Jesus Name. At a point I did not have friends I could share my ideas with or what I had done because I did not want to end up like Joseph. When you are rooted in the love of God such things do not move you because you know whom you are connected with. When people try to  stir you up by comparing your life with others you will fall back to God’s Word that says ‘For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope’ Jer.29:11. We need to understand and meditate on 1John3:1 consistently. God’s love for us as believers is not based on our performance as Christians but on our position as His children. Yes we need to pray but God’s love is not based on how long we can pray. We need to study the Bible but God’s love for us is not based on how long we spend reading the Bible. God’s love for us is based on the fact that we are His children.

Prayer: Father, thank You for making me complete in Your Son and in Your love. Help me operate in the consciousness of Your love daily, in Jesus Name.
