Hear This

Matthew 13:¹² “To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.”

Matthew 13:⁹ “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.” This scripture holds a secret. Are you ready for this? This secret is the key to the strength for growth. The key to strength for growth is HEARING. There is a reason why God gave you two ears and one mouth. You are designed to hear. You cannot grow if you do not hear. And you cannot listen to something you have not heard. You need to hear first because without hearing there cannot be any listening, and without listening there cannot be understanding. And without understanding there cannot be growth. Again, the key to strength for growth is hearing.

In fact, this is the summary of our lesson over the next few days, and it is that the key to the strength for growth is hearing. Hearing may appear passive, but hearing is so powerful. Without hearing you cannot pass any exam. Without hearing you cannot succeed in any organization. Without hearing you cannot get promoted. Without hearing you cannot succeed in any relationship. You may have physical ears, but they are blocked, in other words, you are hard of hearing. We command that blockage be expunged in the Name of Jesus. You have to hear because it is tied to your growth. Hearing may appear passive but that is where growth actually happens. You must have heard it said that in the spirit realm what you hear is more important than what you see. You have had dreams and seen visions. But have you heard what the Holy Spirit saying? What you hear is what gives you an understanding of what you have seen.

Hearing may be passive, but it is so powerful. Do you know that human beings only grow when they are sleeping? You see children growing but that growth does not happen while they are running up and down. The only time they grow is when they sleep. Sleeping may appear passive but that is when growth happens. Similarly, hearing may appear passive but that is where listening and understanding can happen. The reason you are stuck where you are is just the lack of understanding, nothing else. If you understand what your next level requires, you will not be stuck because growth will happen.

I have shared with you that my hearing is my greatest asset. What is the Holy Spirit saying about the things you have seen, the visions and dreams that you have had or that you have? This is so important because what you hear gives understanding to what you have seen. Revelations 2:¹⁷ “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying…”.
