The Land

Deuteronomy 28:12 “The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.” (NKJV)

The things you need to operate to walk in consistent abundance are what we have called the S.L.S of Abundance. And the first “S” is the Systems. The rain is a system; the rain is not a miracle. Manna is a miracle; the rain is a system. Breaking news, we are not looking to God for manna this season; we are here for His rain. And we will experience the rain in Jesus Name. The “L” in S.L.S. is the Land. So, we need to understand the system and see how to plug the land into it. The land is so powerful, the mystery of the land, because the land is the connection (the handshake) with God’s system of abundance.

God will always ask for your land when He wants to bless you. He will say, “What do you have in your house or what is in your hands?” Jesus said to Peter, “Go, throw your hook into the water, the first fish you catch will have a gold coin inside its mouth.” (Matthew 17:27). The land in this scenario was Peter’s hook. The land is so powerful. Growing up, one of the things we looked forward to when it rained was playing in the rain. Today, when it rains, children are running inside, and parents are calling the children to get into the house, so they do not catch pneumonia. In our time, we were chasing pneumonia, and it didn’t kill us.

I agree that there is a lot of advancement these days, and people insist that you cannot just tell children to go outside. I say, try it, they will thank you later. For those who grew up in Nigeria, and you are male, even some females too, you must play soccer. Even if you don’t know how to play, you will just be there playing soccer, right? The sweetest kind of soccer was rain ball. There is a tactic to rain ball. Where I am going with all this is that as much as we can put our buckets outside and collect some rainwater, play in the rain, and enjoy the rain. The rain is primarily for the land. In fact, scientists tell us that drinking rainwater is not even the healthiest because it must have dissolved a lot of things before it gets to us.

The rain is primarily for the land, and that is why Elijah would say to Ahab, “Run, so that the rain doesn’t stop you.” The rain is not for you, so don’t let it stop you. The rain is for the land, and when the land is well watered, it brings forth in abundance. As your land is going to be well watered this season, you are going to experience abundance in the Name of Jesus. The famine has come to an end in the Mighty Name of Jesus (say Amen).

Prayer: Father, please open to me Your good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to my land in this season, and to bless all the work of my hands, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
