Give Control Back to God!

“They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth” Phil.3:19.

The third source of distraction is Another god also known as Pleasure. Many of us will not go and bow down to an idol or worship a graven image in our homes. Yet many of us are worshiping the idle of pleasure, the idol of self, and the idol of our unbridled appetite. You need to understand that whether it is a physical image or an unseen image, an idol is an idol. This has stopped a lot of people from fulfilling their destinies but I am praying for you today that the grip of these small gods on your life will be broken, in Jesus Name.

“They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth” Phil.3:19 [emphasis added]. Whatever controls you has become a god unto you [Rom.6:16], whatever appetite has you, whatever you are a servant to is your master. And this God you are serving is a jealous God. He will not have you and another god; it will not work. For some people their god is their belly, they will obey God if it is to attend vigils every day but their obedience does not cover fasting. What they are saying in essence is that their appetite for food is their god. For some people their appetite is for sleep, you would hear such people say walking with God does not require all that stress. God is not stressful but your enemy is and you need to have dominion over your enemy because your God has empowered you to have dominion. So you have to take your place as God has appointed you [Jer.1:10]. You cannot continue to opt out of corporate spiritual moves because you feel that you will still get the blessings anyway. Commit, plug in and experience depths of God you have not even imagined. For some people it is alcoholic drinks they cannot do without and that appetite has become their god. Remember this, whatever controls you has become a god unto you. If you are still insisting that it does not control you then stop it. For some others, it is pornography that has become their god. They cannot resist the urge, that has become your god but that god has to crash today [say amen], in Jesus Name. For some people it is gambling and although they make a lot of money, all of it is used to satisfy their appetite for gambling. I am praying that God will set all such people free. For some people it is narcotics, for some it is anger and the list goes on. God’s Word warns that such people are headed for destruction. You will not end up in destruction and your life will not be wasted, in Jesus Name. Now you know what to guard against, so watch and pray.
