The Godhead

“All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him” Luke 10:22 [KJV]

The Godhead is a Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. To understand God, you must understand and relate with each member of the Trinity. You must understand that even though He is one God, He is three persons [three personalities]. As a believer you must know how to relate with the Father, you must know how to relate with the Lord Jesus, and you must know how to relate with the person of the Holy Spirit. If you want to be successful as a believer you must know how to relate with the Holy Spirit. You must know how the Holy Spirit talks and moves. For instance we pray to the Father, in the Name of Jesus, and in the power of the Holy Spirit. If prayer is not to the father in the name of Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit then it is not prayer. If it is to the Father in the name of Jesus but in your own flesh you will struggle and you won’t go anywhere. It will be like the prayer is bouncing off the roof and coming back down. So these three components must be present – to the Father, in the name of Jesus, and in the power of the Holy Spirit. So you need to understand that the Godhead is a Trinity.

The next thing you need to understand is that the enemy of your God is your enemy. Won’t you find it strange if the colleague at work that has vowed to destroy you and destroy your career is who your spouse decides to make his or best friend? Isn’t that a strange association? So the moment that you become a child of God you inherit His enemies; part of your inheritance is His enemies. Yes you have inherited eternal life and all but you have also inherited God’s enemies and satan hates you because he hates God. Some Christians say can we leave spiritual warfare alone? Let us leave satan alone so that he will leave us alone. That is a big misconception because even if you leave satan alone he will not leave you alone. We are not unmindful of the devices of the enemy. The enemy wants you to be ignorant of his devices because he works in darkness [in ignorance]. So whether you like it or not the battle line is drawn for you as a child of God. The attacks you will face will mostly be because you remind the enemy of your Father [God], so you better get ready.

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; God is a Godhead and I have inherited His enemies. To fully understand the enemy and how it works you need to know the enemy of the Father, the enemy of the Son, and the enemy of the Holy Spirit.
