Be Sensitive
“So approximately 3,000 warriors were sent, but they were soundly defeated… Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take all your fighting men and attack Ai, for I have given you the king of Ai, his people, his town, and his land” Josh.7:4 & 8:1
There is intelligence in the spirit realm and you need to tap into it with the help of the Holy Spirit. For instance, Job was minding his own business and there were discussions going on in heaven about Job; but he was clueless. Assuming Job could tap into heaven and understand what was going on, perhaps he could have responded better. Perhaps he could have pleaded his case with God. There have been meetings where two witches sitting at two opposite ends of a hall, were communicating and they said now is the time to strike. And the Pastor stopped the meeting and said I heard what you just said so come out now; and they both came out. You have to be able to intercept and interpret communications.
Intelligence is so key! There is something I used to do just for fun and just out of relationship with the Holy Spirit but it became very useful for me. When I meet people and shake hands with them, I ask God – who is this person? God will tell me and He is always accurate. That alone has saved me a lot of stress. Sometimes, one piece of information is all that is needed.
People fall in warfare largely because they are ignorant and arrogant. One key attitude you must develop is to respect your enemy. Never take the enemy for granted. Never! When you give the enemy respect, you will not take anything for granted. But when you are arrogant and you look down on your enemy, it is usually the first step to destruction. Do you know the story of Ai? The children of Israel underestimated Ai and decided it was a waste of time to go to war against Ai with all their fighting men. So they sent just a few men and they gallantly lost – arrogance!
Many people have failed exams because they underestimated the questions. Quality players stand in front of a penalty shot and miss the penalty because of arrogance. Spouses out of arrogance refuse to take care of each other. Never underestimate the enemy. Always assume the enemy is intelligent and competent. If you are wrong, then your victory will be a landslide. But if you are right, you will be ready.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, examine my heart and purge me completely of arrogance. Lord, give me access to conversations in the spirit about me, in Jesus Name.
