Are You Desperate?
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised) Heb.10:23 (KJV)
Are you at the point where you have been waiting on God for a promise that will change the course of your life? A turn around that will be as David described it in Psalm 126.However, the wait period is starting to feel endless and you are wondering if God still has you on His radar. You suddenly find your mind calculating that if God does not show up according to your own set time then things will go south. Don’t be desperate. Desperation will blur your vision as well as every promise the Lord has made to you. It will set you up for compromise. God’s word for you today is ‘do not be desperate for anything’. If there is something you are trusting God for and you have begun to enter into the place of desperation, stop right now. Desperation will not make the promise come quicker. In fact, the reverse actually becomes the case. You become miserable, your vision blurs and then you are ready to settle for less than what God has planned for you. Heb.10:23 ‘Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised)’. Do not waver because faithful is He, God, that has promised. Ps.37:25 ‘I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the [uncompromisingly] righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread.’ The key is to be ‘uncompromisingly righteous’. And I pray that you will make progress this year, in your walk with and for God and in the fulfillment of your destiny in Jesus Name.
Prayer: Father, please help me renew my trust in You Lord. That I may find new strength to soar high on wings like eagles. To run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint. [Isa.40:31] in Jesus Name.
