What Counts

Gen.32: 28 “Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

What has God said to you? When such questions are posed, some people immediately connect and are fired up. But some others feel lost because they are still developing their hearing from God. If you are a member of God’s Favourite House, then you already have a Word from God. God has said concerning us, “Establishment, Bloom, Victory, Rejoice… and in this season He says changing destinies for good. This is God’s Word, you have to take it to heaven and lock it down. And as days follow the night, you will have victory, His Word will accomplish His desire in your life, in Jesus Mighty Name [say Amen].

Read your Bible, it is God’s Word. Personalize it. You can say, “God, You said You will change my destiny for good, You promised to move me from Jacob to Israel”. Personalize it, which is what I do. Guess what He will do? He will honor His Word. You may not consider yourself a member of God’s Favourite House but you are a child of God, right? Then God is saying, “you will be above only and not beneath”, “there will be none barren in the land”. You are going to have children, lock it down! You are still struggling to pay rent but God has said, “you will lend to nations and you will not borrow”. The how does not matter; just take it to God and lock it down! The key is, like Jacob, you have to refuse to take no for an answer.

Many people are quick to say, “I have fasted, prayed and sown seeds.” Keep at it; give it what it takes. Jacob did not say, “I have been praying for two hours!” In fact, it was God that was trying to escape but Jacob said, “No! Not until you bless me.” You do not count the minutes of prayer; you count the result of prayer. You do not count the seeds that you have sowed, you count the bountifulness of your harvest. Sometimes what is required is two minutes of prayer, sometimes it is two hours, or two months, or two years.  The key thing is this mountain must move and you will not back down. Jesus longs to find this kind of faith that will not back down – because it makes you unstoppable.

Prayer: Father, You said You will change my destiny for good, do unto me according to Your Word my Father, in Jesus Name. Amen!
