Shining Armour

Ex.20:3 “You must not have any other god but me.”

Isa.40:25To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One. 26 Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.” Read the rest of this entry

No Equal

Isa.40: 25 “To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One. 26 Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army… Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.

The first commandment lays the foundation for freedom. However, the challenge most times is in embracing God unconditionally. Will you embrace God with conditions or will you embrace Him unconditionally? Read the rest of this entry

Truth vs. Error

Lu.10:26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’” [with emphasis]

God laid the foundations of the heavens. He established earth and spread the heavens like a curtain. God alone knows the number of the stars and He calls them by their names. Yet this same God is mindful of us. Read the rest of this entry

Rest-A-While

Ex.20:9-10(GN)“You have six days in which to do your work, but the seventh day is a day of rest dedicated to Me. On that day no one is to work…”

In R-E-L-A-X, L stands for LimitYour Labour. You must make time for other things apart from work. Put a schedule down on paper and stick to it, plus have someone make you accountable. You need to have a day of rest. After the French revolution, they cancelled the Sabbath on Sunday’s because they said there were not enough days to work. Read the rest of this entry

Birthplace

Eccl.5:10    “Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness! 11 The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!”

How much is enough? Albert Einstein says, “It’s not that I’m so smart, but I stay with the questions much longer”. So, in line with this learning, we will continue today in the question, how much is enough? William Blake tells us that, “You never know what is enough unless you know what is more than enough.Read the rest of this entry

Enough Gain?

1 Tim. 6:6-8 “Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that”[with emphasis].

Key Question 2: How much is enough? Really, how much would you need to make for you to consider it enough money? How many cars are enough? How many cars can a man drive? How many houses can a man leave in? How many rooms can a man sleep in? Building a house with ten rooms is neither here nor there. It is your choice really. If it makes you happy, then build it. But how many rooms can you sleep in? If in one night you insist on sleeping in all ten rooms, what do you think will be the result? Read the rest of this entry

Requirement

Pr.16:11 (LB) “The Lord demands fairness in every business deal” [with emphasis]

Keep today’s Scripture reference in mind as I share something I read a while back in a marketing book with you. I am sharing this with you also, to show you how the world has deviated so far from God. Read the rest of this entry

The Heart

Col.3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”  [with emphasis]

Whatever you do, including your job, work at it with all your heart as though you are working for the Lord and not for men. Even if your boss is an unbeliever or you are not paid well, you are to put in your best; it is unto God. Read the rest of this entry

Eye Witness I

Rev.12:11 (AMPC) “And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].”

Yesterday, we established that not many people would argue with the fact that Jesus actually walked on earth. We also answered the question about His resurrection based on scriptural witnesses. Read the rest of this entry

Witness

Acts 1:3 During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.”

Phil.3:10 [NKJV] that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death”. Paul, James, Peter, Thaddeus and all the others had this same cry in their hearts. Read the rest of this entry
