Grow Up!
“When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity” 1 Cor.13:11-12
Some of us are allowing our hearts to become hardened because of the pains that we have gone through. For some of us reading this today, the pain was caused by your fellow Christians. And you are wondering, how can these people call themselves Christians and be behaving like this? And you have allowed that experience to harden your heart. It could even be your spouse who perhaps Read the rest of this entry
Get Up And Speak!
“…Prophesy to these bones. Tell them to listen to what the Eternal Lord says to them…” Eze.37:4 [VOICE].
Every move of God is preceded by a sound. You can have the prophetic Word but nothing happens until you speak it. Everything will wait until you speak. You have to get up and speak. The story is told of a couple who had been married for years and had children. The man was doing well and so was the woman. But the man’s mother brought him a new wife from the village. She told his wife that she had done well but her son needs fresh blood. The man claimed to be faultless in the matter and he took his mother up on the offer. It is sad but some men are just very Read the rest of this entry
Voice Activation
“Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord!” Eze.37:4 [emphasis added].
“The earth was completely empty. There was nothing on the earth. Darkness covered the ocean, and God’s Spirit moved over the water. Then God said, “Let there be light!” And light began to shine” Gen.1:2-3 [ERV]. What if God had not said anything? The Power of God would still be there but nothing would have happened. Even though the Father, the Spirit and the Word were present at creation, nothing happened until God spoke. My point is this, you need to speak God’s prophetic Word into that situation. What prophetic word you ask? Your prophetic word is that Read the rest of this entry
Step Out
“Elijah said to her… make a little bread for me first then use what’s left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son… So she did as Elijah said, and… there was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised…” 1 kings 17:13,15-16.
It is one thing to believe in the supernatural, it is another thing to be open to the supernatural. It is one thing to have the supernatural at arm’s length, it is another thing to embrace the supernatural. Do you desire to be open to the supernatural but you are wondering how to go about it? To be open to the supernatural, you must know two things.
#1. Miracles happen outside of your comfort zone. The first thing you have to understand is that the miraculous happens outside of your comfort zone. Miracles do not happen in your comfort zone. Imagine your Read the rest of this entry
iBelieve
“Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” John 11:25-26 [emphasis added]
It is one thing to believe in the Person of Jesus, it is another thing entirely to believe in the Power of Jesus. I have friends [even pastors] that are believers in Christ Jesus, the person of Jesus. But they doubt the Power of God. I say to them and I am saying to you, the Power of God is real. God is saying to you today, beyond believing in My Person, I need you to believe in My Power. It is one thing to believe in who He is. It is another thing entirely to believe in what God can do. Close your eyes and focus on that issue. Jesus is saying, I need you to believe in what I can do. I Read the rest of this entry
No Excuse
“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God” Rom.1:20 [emphasis added].
You have no excuse for not knowing God. The way God has set things up is that we are without excuse. Particularly if you are in God’s Favourite House where everything is aimed at showing you Jesus. Beginning from the New Creation Reality classes, to the Journey classes, then Life groups, and by God’s grace powerful messages and anointed worship. Have you done the Journey? What is your excuse? Do you think you will stand before God and give an excuse? It will not work! Face it; you are as close to God as you want to be.
Cut Off
“He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more” John 15:2
You cannot just be doing things because other people are doing it. That is the fastest route to killing yourself. As a church, in God’s Favourite House, there are so many things that we have put to sleep. One example is bulletins. The amount of work hours that goes into printing bulletins every week is a lot; content development, content gathering, proof reading, and the printing not to talk of the cost of the printing. So one day I met with my team and challenged the usefulness of the bulletins. Do people really read the bulletins? So we decided to do a little experiment, we would Read the rest of this entry
Just In Case?
“He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more” John 15:2
#4. Cut Off. In order to simplify my life, there are some things that I actually need to put to rest, some things I actually need to cut off, and some things I have to let go. Many of us have what is called the “pack rat” mentality. The “pack rat” mentality is, no matter how full your wardrobe is, you want to hold on to and keep stuff. Your house is over flowing but you are still holding on to things. If you ask them why they are holding on to these things, the Read the rest of this entry
Hands Off II
“And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word” Acts 6:3-4
Find the things that ONLY YOU can do, then hands-off everything else! This is what I do. When my colleagues bring an issue to me, I send them back. Go and solve the problem and come to me with options, then we can take it from there. If I keep solving the problem for you, then I am doing your job for you. And I do not want to do that. I want to do what only I can do.
Incremental Releases
“He tells us everything over and over— one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there!” Isa.28:10
A lot of the time, we are too cautious; waiting for things to be perfect. We want to dot the I’s and cross the T’s. Note this, if you wait to dot all the “I’s” and cross all the “T’s”, by the time you are ready, it will be too late. In fact someone said relating to software programming, “If you are proud of your first release, you released it too late”. The first page release of some of these social media sites was ugly but they Read the rest of this entry
