Take A Stand

1 Kings 18:21 “Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him…”

Please read 1 Kings 18:20-40a. Owing to the weakness of Ahab as a king and the witchcraft of Jezebel his wife, the nation of Israel turned from the True and Living God and began to worship Baal. Baal is known as the god of rain Read the rest of this entry

Boldly & Confidently!

Heb.4:16 “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

There is nothing that can be done to crush the Church in Nigeria, the Church in every nation of the world (this bit was my addition – thinking globally). Nothing! Read the rest of this entry

Praise Worthy

Deut. 29:29 “The Lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.”

Dan.2:27Daniel replied, “There are no wise men, enchanters, magicians, or fortune-tellers who can reveal the king’s secret. 28 But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future...” [with emphasis]. Read the rest of this entry

Fully Persuaded?

Gen.2: 16 But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— 17 except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

Eve knew God talked about death, but she did not understand the dimension of death that God was talking about. The death God was talking about was separation from God, spiritual death and she eventually died physically. Read the rest of this entry

Only Jesus

Mark 8:36 “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?”

Jesus alone can authoritatively make this statement and it is because Jesus Himself was tempted in every way. Jesus was tempted to go the way of the world. Many years ago, a young man came to me for counsel. Read the rest of this entry

How?

Eph.3:11 “This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence” [with emphasis].

Today’s Scripture reference answers the question posed by today’s topic, the question of how? How are we to show up before God? The Bible tells us, boldly and confidently because of Christ and our faith in Him. Read the rest of this entry

The Path II

You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.Ps.66:12 [NIV, emphasis added].

Many people are jeopardizing their hard place by taking shortcuts. The shortcuts are the reason why they do not arrive in the wealthy place. The reason why it appears as if there is no wealthy place is because people insist on taking shortcuts. There is no shortcut! You need to go through the grind. Be prepared because when you are going through the grind, it will be very uncomfortable and sometimes humiliating. If I were to show Read the rest of this entry

Heaven-Programmed

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do” Josh.1:8

Fear often disguises itself behind the mask of care. Fearful people often excuse their fear as caution” – Andy Stanley. You know you are afraid but you keep telling yourself and others that you are taking calculated risks. How long do you think you can disguise this fear as taking calculated risks? Yesterday we talked about the corridor principle and the research that was Read the rest of this entry

Fearless

Then the Lord turned… said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel… I am sending you!” “But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” Judg.6:14-15

The hero is just the coward that held on five minutes longer. Courage is a habit and you can develop it. The only person who has never fallen is the person who has never walked. Do not be afraid of falling. The question usually on a lot of people’s minds is what if I try and it does not work? Big deal! Get up again. Fear is based on exaggeration while faith is based on inspiration [God’s Word that has exploded in your mind]. You need to be courageous. Read the rest of this entry

Always Audacity!

“Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north. Deu.2:2-3

Principle of The Offensive can only be ignited with audacity. You cannot be on the offensive if you are not courageous. You need courage. Fredrick the Great puts it this way, “L’audace, l’audace, et toujours l’audace” [translation: Audacity, audacity, and always audacity]. You need to put this statement in front of you, see it before you sleep and when you get up before you go out, see it again. “Audacity, audacity, and always audacity”.
