Dare To Move

“Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!”  1 Sam.30:8

God is taking us on a journey. I believe that for some of us reading today’s devotional [I pray for all of us], God is moving you from relegation to promotion. God’s Word for you is victory and to secure victory, we need to deploy proven principles of war. In deploying these principles of war, victory is assured.

The Principle of the Offensive is: advance and attack the opposition, grab and exploit the opportunities. After Read the rest of this entry

Get Up!

“And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself” Luke 13:10-11 [KJV]

Be very attentive; there are certain things that God will have me say by the Power of the Holy Spirit. As I say these things and you receive it, it will be established, in Jesus Name. God will lay His hands on you today and immediately you will be made straight and Stand Tall.

Please read Luke 13:10-17. The woman in this portion of Scripture could not lift herself. There may be Read the rest of this entry

Here And Now!

“Then Joshua cried out, “Oh, Sovereign Lord, why did you bring us across the Jordan River if you are going to let the Amorites kill us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side!” Josh.7:7 [emphasis added].

“…If only we had been content to stay on the other side!” I call it the fantasy of the other side. It is also known as the green grass syndrome. The lawn on the other side is greener. Who says? Like someone said, the grass is not greener on the other side, the grass is greener where it is watered. When we are not Standing Tall where we are, we live in a perpetual state of lack of contentment and desire what we do not have. When we think we have something and it does not measure Read the rest of this entry

Move!

“He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “sent”). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!” John 9:7

“He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam”, in essence Jesus was saying to him, you are blind but you are not lame so go to the pool. Use your legs, walk! The man could have given a lot of excuses such as; I cannot see, I do not know the way, or I would bump into a wall. A lot of us are used to giving excuses. Stop giving excuses. STOP IT! Personally, I grow very impatient with people who Read the rest of this entry

His Time

“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him John 9:3

Miracles bring glory to our God. If you truly understand that miracles bring glory to God you would know that you should not be fretting. In other words, Your life is for His glory. Meaning, if it is well with you, it is for the glory of the Father. Do you understand? So it is in His interest that you are doing well. Which also means you do Read the rest of this entry

Pay Attention!

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…” Zech.4:10

A lot of times we are so caught up with racing to the top that we miss out on vital lessons we need to learn along the way to the top. Never ignore the things you think are time wasting or useless. Most of the time, these are the lessons you will need in future. We are always so caught up with the seemingly big things that we tend to miss out on, overlook, and grumble about the seemingly little things God is doing. “He who is faithful in little will be faithful in much”. Access Control I

“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” Matt.16:19 [NIV]

A door is a form of access control; it allows the people that put the door there to control access into a room, a palace, a store, or the garage where the door is put. The door is a symbol of access control. If God wants you to open the door we can assume that you have the keys to the door because what is the value of having a door without a key. Having a door without a key is like Read the rest of this entry

His Business

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” Isa.55:9-10

God will do what He says He will do but He will not do it ‘how’ you want Him to do it. God rarely, if ever, commits to ‘how’. He can show you ‘how’ as your relationship grows but He doesn’t commit to ‘how’. God only commits to ‘what’, He doesn’t commit to ‘how’. ‘How’ He is going to do what He says He will do is His business. Many times, while trusting God for something, I have attempted to reason Read the rest of this entry

Get In-Line

“Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him, “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.” Gen.32:28

A wise man said, “You cannot change your destination overnight but you can change your direction overnight”. Some of us reading this today have been going in the wrong direction. For some it is bad habits that have sent them down a wrong path. So you go to God at His meeting place, the altar, and pray; and guess what? You are actually realigned but you wake up the next day and it seems you are Read the rest of this entry

Until You Move

“It was the harvest season, and the Jordan was overflowing its banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river’s edge” Josh.3:15.

“But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”  Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving!” Ex.14:13-15. A lot of the time, like Moses we are telling ourselves wait and see what God will do. But Read the rest of this entry
