How To… V

“So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it” Col.3:12,14 [MSG]

What to “put to on”: “Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with [put on] tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience  Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony” Col.3:12,14 [emphasis added]. Put on tenderhearted mercy; to be Read the rest of this entry

All!

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulnessCol.2:7

Build your life on Christ which means you ensure that every block you are putting in place is on Christ. “In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledgeCol.2:3. I have news for you from this passage of Scripture, all you will ever need to know is in Christ – all! Everything was made by Him. We thank God for scientist, scientist are amazing, I am a Read the rest of this entry

Identity

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name” John 15:16

A lot of people in today’s world wear masks. This is why there is so much hypocrisy because people do not know who they are. In order to be accepted, people try to pass off themselves as being something or someone they think will be accepted. Perhaps I will be accepted if I am pious so he or she puts on a pious attitude. She Read the rest of this entry

Seed Of Greatness

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, in the grave when you die” Eccl.9:10

Today you find that a lot of people are totally obsessed with the next step. Some even credit their obsession to not knowing God’s plans. Listen the first thing you need to resolve in your heart and embrace completely with all your heart is that God’s plans are good plans and they favour you. It would help you to say it out loud Read the rest of this entry

With Purpose

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” Jer.29:11

It is my prayer that this singular life that we have, we will all make it count in Jesus Name. The opposite of a life that counts is a wasted life and I am praying that none of our lives will be wasted in Jesus Name. Everyone that God created He created with a purpose. God had something in mind when He made you and I and Read the rest of this entry

Goal Setting III

“If you plan and work hard, you will have plenty; if you hurry to get rich, you will end up poor” Prov.21:5 [CEV].

#7. R is for REVELATION. What Scripture supports your goal? As believers all our goals should be scriptural [based on the Bible]. There should be a revelation that backs up the goals you set. A Christian man decides one day that his goal for that year is to marry a second wife. He Read the rest of this entry

Building An Altar

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” Rom.12:1 [NKJV].

At his deathbed, my spiritual father said to me, “Your heart is the most important thing, so guard your heart with all your life”. I knew that and I thought to myself, who does not know that? But permit me to reiterate, the most important thing in ministry is your heart. Ministry work is a heart work and you and I are called to be altar builders. If there is any secret in being a successful Christian, or a successful Read the rest of this entry

Time Margin

‘For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak’ Ecc.3:1 &7.

How do you create margin with time? Everybody has twenty-four hours but not everybody has the same level of energy at every time in a day. So rather than managing your time so tightly, why don’t you manage your energy. Do the most important things when you have your highest energy and you will see how much ground you will cover. Manage your energy. Some of us are morning people; we are at our energy peak Read the rest of this entry

Check Your Motive I

‘You can cry and cover the Lord’s altar with tears, but the Lord will not accept your gifts. He will not be pleased with the things you bring to him’ Mal.2:13 [ERV]

Second thing in enquiring from the Lord is check your motive. Why am I asking what I am asking? What is my motive? I encourage you to read Numbers 22. This is the story of a Prophet called Balaam and a king called Balak. Balaam was a gentile and not a Jew but Balaam knew God and could hear God. Balaam described himself as the one that sees a vision without closing his eyes. Balak the king of Moab said I have heard of a people who came out of Egypt and are consuming Read the rest of this entry

By Significance II

“Who do you think you are,
and what are you doing here,
building a beautiful tomb for yourself -
a monument high up in the rock? For the Lord is about to hurl you away, mighty man. He is going to grab you’ Isa.22:16-17.

While some people leave significant legacies, other people leave non-significant legacies. The people who leave non-significant legacies are so consumed with building structures and monuments. It is an insignificant legacy because someone else can just demolish it and we have seen this happen time and again. Saddam Hussein put up a monument and that monument was pulled down. People even try to embalm their Hero’s as a legacy. Sadly a lot of people are Read the rest of this entry
