Treat

Ps.92: 4 You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done. O Lord, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts.”

Giving praise is a privilege and not a duty. We should not approach thanksgiving as if it is a duty; just giving Him what He wants. Surprisingly, a lot of people thank God as if it is a duty.

In All Things

Psa. 92:1 (KJV) “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night”

God instructs us in His Word to be thankful in all things. Even though the situation you are in is challenging, thank Him because all things work together for those that love God and have been called according to His purpose. Read the rest of this entry

In Not For

Col.2:7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness” [with emphasis].

A lot of people are attractive from a distance but when you get close enough, they are repulsive. Have you met people that look beautiful on the outside but when you experience them, their character is foul and the fruit of their lives is unsavoury. Read the rest of this entry

Take Root

Col.2:7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

The first weekend of every month in God’s Favourite House is dedicated to thanksgiving. However, overtime it can easily become routine for people – gather, dance, sing and give offerings. These things are good and routine can save your life. Read the rest of this entry

Begins At Home

John 14:15 “If you love me, obey my commandments.”

The deepest question every Christian will have to answer is “me or Jesus?” Is it going to be my way or is it going to be His ways? Is it going to be my idea or is it going to be His ideas? The Ten Commandments is a blow out of the struggle between “me or Jesus?”

Leave It There

Luke 22:41 “He walked away, about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine” [with emphasis]

Many of us have had dreams this year; goals of things we wanted to achieve by the end of the year. But that has not happened. We need to get to a place where we kneel in submission to God, hand it to God and say, “God, let Your will be done”. Read the rest of this entry

But Now

Eph.2:14 “For Christ himself has brought peace to us …in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us”[with emphasis].

It is when we receive this gift from God, which is Jesus Christ, that we experience a three-fold peace. And the three-fold peace is peace with God, peace with self and peace with other people. When people do not fully embrace this gift, they struggle with having peace with God. Read the rest of this entry

Open Doors

Deut. 28:12The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow”

Everything you are not grateful for will eventually exit your life. You are there waiting on God to do xyz for you to be happy. An anonymous quote reads, “It’s not happy people who are thankful. It’s thankful people who are happy”. Stop waiting for that promotion, the open doors, a child or marriage to happen before you show gratitude to God. God is saying be grateful then you will be happy. We often let “what could be” rob us of the joy of what will be or already is.

Cost Of Favour

“For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.” Rom.9:15-16 [emphasis added]

You will not go very far if you think you have to deserve everything you get. For where God is taking you to, you are going to get things you do not deserve. So do not feel bad or become apologetic. Just thank God for His favour and for giving you what you do not deserve. If you wait to earn everything, you are going to be very slow in this life. God is saying to you, I am going to Read the rest of this entry

Crowned With Goodness

Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” Luke 17:17-18.

God will wrap this year up for you with goodness in Jesus Name. How should you respond to God’s goodness? Start by thanking God and thank Him profusely. After you have given thanks, let this newly established appreciation of God’s goodness draw you closer to God. Then you respond even further by increasing our goodness to Read the rest of this entry
