Assurance
Joshua 21:43&45 “And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein… There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
Examine the following scriptures; Ps.105:18-19 “They bruised his feet with fetters and placed his neck in an iron collar. Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” (emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry
Right Time
Eccl.3:11 “God gave us the ability to think about his world, but we can never completely understand everything he does. And yet, he does everything at just the right time.” (ERV)
Ps.1:3 “You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time” (The Voice, emphasis added). When we understand that our own fruit will ripen in its time as God’s Word says, then we can pay attention to what matters most. Read the rest of this entry
Its Time
Ps.1:1 “Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.” (emphasis added)
Yesterday, we began to look at this scripture and the three things that keep us in sync or take us out of sync with the timing of heaven and Jehovah. The first is The Advice You Take. The second thing is Where You Stand. Where do you stand? Read the rest of this entry
Alignment
Prov.3:5 “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make.” (TPT)
God lives in eternity, He has no limitations, and He is totally boundless. There is nothing in God that is restricting. However, for us to operate, God puts certain systems in place. Knowing how these systems work and actually working these systems, is to our advantage. Read the rest of this entry
Eternal
Rev.22:13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (NRSV)
There is a time for everything on earth. However, we are finite, so we struggle because we are dealing with a God that does not have a beginning and does not have an ending. God is eternal, and He does not operate in time. Read the rest of this entry
Misconceptions
Acts 1:6-7 “So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?” He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know.”
Over the next few days, we will be looking at Time. The concept of time is something that we wrestle [struggle] with as human beings because of how we are wired. When something takes time, we do not like it. Read the rest of this entry
His Plan, His People II
Ex.5:1 “Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘Let my people go, so that they may celebrate a festival to me in the wilderness.’” (NRSV, emphasis added).
The centre of that great vision that God has planted in your heart has to be God and people. Do not assume that because God has spoken to you it means you can achieve your purpose alone. Moses tried to do it alone and it landed him forty years in the wilderness. Read the rest of this entry
His Plan, His People
Neh.2:17-18 “But now I said to them… Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire. Let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem and end this disgrace!” Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me… They replied at once, “Yes, let’s rebuild the wall…”
It is a miracle and a total privilege to be able to worship God, the Maker of the heavens and the earth. God did not tell Moses to say to Pharaoh ‘let my people go’. That was not what God told Moses. It was more than that. Read the rest of this entry
Give Thanks
Ps.30:11-12 “You did it: you changed wild lament into whirling dance; You ripped off my black mourning band and decked me with wildflowers. I’m about to burst with song; I can’t keep quiet about you. God, my God, I can’t thank you enough.” (MSG)
The thing that holds people back from God’s best and from intimacy with Christ is actually religion. The nine were Jews, they needed to fulfill the religious rites. But who was it that told them to go and show themselves to the priest in the first place? It was Jesus. Read the rest of this entry
The Nine, V
Luke 17:15-16 “One of them, when he realized that he was healed, turned around and came back, shouting his gratitude, glorifying God. He kneeled at Jesus’ feet, so grateful. He couldn’t thank him enough—and he was a Samaritan.” (MSG)
Today, we will pick up from our final thought from yesterday which is, what God did for you, He did for you personally, and not do for someone else. Jesus died on the cross of calvary for you, for me. It is just like having four children and three of them are responsive to you, they care about you, and they Read the rest of this entry
