Acts 4:30-31 “Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.

The second grouping of the Sign Gifts is the Power Gifts. The power gifts are gifts that do. The first is the Gift of Faith, the second is Gifts of Healing, and the third is Working of Miracles. Mark 16:17These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages.”

Eph.4:11-12 “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”

God shows us clearly in His Word that the job of the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers is to equip the body for the work of the ministry. Who is supposed to do the work of the ministry? The body. You are part of the action. The work of the ministry is not meant for some superstar pastors or ministers alone. Read the rest of this entry
