Time & Effort
2 Kings 17:36 But worship only the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt with great strength and a powerful arm. Bow down to him alone, and offer sacrifices only to him.
Ps. 147:11 [ERV] “The Lord enjoys people who worship him and trust in his faithful love.” God wants you to worship Him in spirit and in truth. He wants you to release your spirit, your soul, and your body to Him. But sadly, these days a lot of people are losing the patience to just stay with God and worship Him. Many people do not appreciate anymore the value and the contentment of just being with God. People are no longer interested in climbing; they just want to appear at the mountain-top. But it does not work that way. You have to climb. You have to Step Up.
Acts 13:2 (NIV) “While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them” [with emphasis]. Take note that the destinies of these men were released because they stayed connected to God. As you pay attention to God, your destiny will be released and you will move to the next level, in Jesus Name. I know that there are people reading this today that have attained noteworthy greatness. Mark my words, you have not seen anything yet and that is the truth. God is saying, “come up! Climb up!”
Climb up in prayer, climb up in sacrifice, climb up in giving your time – climb up! If it is not going to cost you anything, it is not going to take you anywhere. And that is the way life has been designed. If it is not going to cost you anything in your career or in your business, check – it is not going to take you anywhere. Spiritually, it is the same thing; if it is not going to cost you anything, it is not going to take you anywhere. Unfortunately, we have a generation that just wants everything at their convenience.
People have adopted the microwave approach to everything. Pounded yam is a delicacy in a lot of Nigerian cultures. These days however, stores now have yam flour. I am sure a lot of people will agree with me that it is not the same as the original. The original takes time, sweat and effort. Some things just take time. You just have to sit before God and wait on Him. You cannot microwave it. You just have to wait on the Lord.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, as I give time and effort to worshipping God; release me into my destiny in God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
