Attitude of Gratitude

‘It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening’ Ps.92:1-2.

God’s Word of establishment is true for you this year as it was last year. You will continue to grow roots downwards in Him and bear fruits upwards in Jesus Name. It is important to start the year with an attitude of gratitude. If we constantly put before our faces all that God has done for us we will overflow with gratitude. Remember that with God your gratitude births new levels of fruitfulness. Let us start by thanking God for the past year, for January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December. Remember how God alone preserved your family and your loved ones. Remember how God provided clothing, food, shelter, and direction for your family. Now spend time thanking God Almighty, the One who never fails, Jehovah Jireh our Provider. ‘Jehovah we praise you, we praise Your Name, we praise Your Holy Name, Jehovah we praise You’.

Now take your mind back to the storms you encountered last year. The health storms and how God showed Himself strong as the Healer. Perhaps it was not you who went through the health storm but a friend, or family member, or perhaps someone in your life group. Think about the time when you desperately needed a breakthrough at work, in your finances, for a major step. Remember how the Holy Spirit showed up and called light out of every dark situation. Now take time out to thank God because there is no one like Him. ‘Covenant keeping God, there is no one like You, Alpha and Omega, there is no one like You’.

He drove out the nations before them; he gave them their inheritance by lot. He settled the tribes of Israel into their homes’ Ps.78:55. Now thank God for God’s Favourite House and the major milestones He brought us to last year. Thank Him for the Land and all the many miracles He performed. Thank God for the church and its leaders.

Now thank God for bringing you into this year 2013 and for all that God is set to do for you this year.

Prayer: Father, it is Your grace that has kept me before You. I thank You Lord from the depth of my being for days past and days to come, in Jesus Name
